The Last Quarter Moon this Tuesday will Fall in Pisces

This last quarter Moon that will take place this Tuesday the 21st of June looks to be a collection of relatively gentle aspects, as far as aspects go. This is quite a change from many of the profound or dramatic aspects we have experienced over the last three or four months during important times in our lunar cycles, yet nevertheless these aspects are still very much woven in to the same fabric or into the same overall pattern our souls are currently creating.

This last quarter Moon will be the final tense square aspect that forms between the Sun and the Moon before the next New Moon, which will occur on the 29th of June. Between now and then, the open mystical lunar gateways will welcome us through into the next cycle, as we gently release the remnants of the energies that we’ve carried through with us from the cycle preceding. This last quarter Moon will be a sweet time of cleansing and being, in the simplest sense of the word.

The Sun and Moon in Gemini and Pisces

Both the Sun and the Moon will be in mutable signs, the same signs they were in during the start of our previous last quarter Moon cycle back on the 22nd of May, some 28 days ago. Previously at 01°39’ of Gemini and Pisces, they will now be at 29°45’ of Gemini and Pisces. This means they are both at the anaretic degree of these mutable signs during the last quarter Moon and the anaretic degree is a crisis point that can bring with it a sense of urgency. This is because the planet or light that is getting ready to leave the sign (in this case Gemini or Pisces) is instinctively aware there is only one more degree (or less) to travel before it moves on to the next. There is a feeling that something is begging to be wrapped up or finalised and at the same time there may be a vague sense that if it isn’t, it will be taken through into the next zodiac sign. The thing is, once we’re in the next zodiac sign, there are bound to be some changes, yet we’re not quite sure yet what these might be.

For the past month the Sun has been in the sign of Gemini, who functions best when connections are being made and communications are abundant and met with ease. For the past two-and-a-half days the Moon has been in the sign of Pisces, who is tapped in to the collective unconscious realms of spirituality. What do we have to communicate about spirituality, our emotions and our core intentions before the Sun and Moon change signs into Cancer and Aries, respectively? How can we adapt whilst creating necessary change with these things in mind during this last quarter Moon on Tuesday.

The Moon will Conjoin Neptune

Whilst the Moon is in Pisces, she will be conjoining Neptune so this will signify a triple dose of instinctual water energy for us all at this time. With the Moon also being under strain and begging for change, it could be that something deep within us is calling us to act or to realise something we hadn’t previously fully assimilated or consciously processed. Neptune will also be slowing down getting ready to station retrograde in just a week’s time, so there will likely be something to review that is a product of our collective unconscious, our spiritual development or a spiritual awakening if this is what we have experienced. At the same time if we have been duped or misguided at all by Neptune, this may be a time our instincts shout out at us to bring all the information together and realise what has been occurring in our lives.

Jupiter will Sextile Mercury

Jupiter’s sextile to Mercury is a gentle aspect that will bring with it a positive flow of mental vibrations, enticing us to reach out for mental stimulation and conversations with our peers and those in our social groups. This will likely be a productive flow of energy that supports mental well-being and exchanges that are fun, uplifting and interesting. Conversation flow is likely to be easy and could very well take the course of what’s on our minds in terms of our philosophies, belief systems, our local communities and moral or legal matters. This is also a good time to discuss strategies in business or events.

The Moon will sextile Pluto

With the Moon’s gentle sextile aspect to Pluto in Capricorn, we will no doubt be feeling things deeply during the last quarter Moon. There are at least three other significations that emotions could be running wild and deep and these are the Moon’s conjunction with Pisces (which we have already talked about within this article), the Moon’s out-of-sign conjunction with Jupiter in Aries and the fact the Moon is in the slippery, watery sign of Pisces. This means there’ll be a high amount of compassion and energy and we may find ourselves reminiscing over meaningful events of the past with Pluto’s retrograde motion in aspect with the Moon in Pisces. Saturn will still act as our saving grace offering fortitude and mastery of the material realm as he beautifully trines the Sun in Gemini whilst squaring Venus in Taurus.
