The Astrology of June 2022

June is a time of celebration for the royal family in England with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on the 3rd and her birthday then on the 11th. June also looks to be a month full of fresh energies lighting up the sky and entering our lives. We will observe some themes of connectedness and new social openings with opportunities to get to the heart of recent events. There will also be lots of forwards movement in love and financial matters with plenty of reviews and reflections regarding moral principles and spirituality.
Mercury will finally be turning direct on the 3rd of June after three weeks of retrograde motion and this will be followed the very next day by Saturn’s shift in direction to retrograde on the 4th. Mercury will then re-enter Gemini on the 13th of June and we will see our Full Moon this month in Sagittarius on the 14th. The Sun will enter motherly sign Cancer on the 21st and then Venus will enter Gemini on the 23rd of June. Finally, towards the end of the month, we will then have Neptune turning retrograde on the 28th of June followed very closely by our New Moon in Cancer on the 29th.

Mercury turns Direct in the 3rd
When Mercury turns direct on the 3rd of June, they will do so at 26 degrees of Taurus whilst quite close to the Moon’s North Node. This will be an important time for everybody in terms of the logical mindset we use, our process and reasoning and the ways these help us to reach new levels of comfort and peace in our personal spheres. Now is a time for forward thinking and from a Taurean perspective, the mind-set we adopt right now will see us through over the coming months. Now is a time to lock in a logical thinking pattern that we can work with and that works for us, after the last three weeks of review during the retrograde period. We can adopt mental strategies that will benefit our well-being and physical comfort, whilst throwing out those which may counteract these in principle.
Saturn turns Retrograde on the 4th
The very next day, Saturn will turn retrograde at 25°15’ of Aquarius and this will then be a time when we might begin to review our moral principles and the ways we approach our responsibilities, especially in terms of our individual identities versus the collective consciousness.
Mercury enters Gemini on the 13th
Mercury will enter Gemini whilst the Sun is also in Gemini, the day before the Full Moon in Sagittarius. Still in a trine to Pluto, although separating, powers of logical analysis and investigation will be boosted. Mental tennis and adaptability will also be increased with Mercury in the mutable sign of domicile, Gemini. With Venus conjunct Uranus, conjoining only the day before just after midnight on the 12th of June, this may be a well of original and inventive creativity for us, especially in artistic design and all matters close to the heart.
The Full Moon in Sagittarius on the 14th
The Full Moon in Sagittarius will land on Tuesday the 14th of June over the axis of learning, communications and information. At this time our spiritual beliefs will come into focus as we release all that is no longer serving us well. With Mars in a partile conjunction with Chiron on the same day, we can use this energy to heal our intentions and become more aligned with our actions in the process.
The Sun enters Cancer on the 21st
The Sun will enter Cancer on the 21st. Our light that relates to our core personality and our identity is now in the nurturing and motherly sign of the crab. Emotions and instincts take precedence at this time and there will be greater focus on family, comfortability and home-making.
Venus enters Gemini on the 23rd
When Venus enters Gemini on the 23rd of June, our love styles will go through a shift and clear communications along with socialising will become all the more important. This will make sense both romantically and socially for the duration of this transit. We may find we are more adaptable and cool in matters of the heart and that in our spending habits we can desire more freedom and variety.
Neptune turns Retrograde on the 28th
Neptune’s retrograde will be the start of a period of necessary reassessments in spiritual matters as many changes can happen within us at an unconscious level. We may not be thinking as clearly and as logically as we can and at times we may find we need to escape the harsh realities of everyday life. We can be taken into new spiritual dimensions.
The New Moon in Cancer on the 29th
The New Moon at 7°22’ Cancer will almost exactly square Jupiter, presenting us with a mixed bag of energies, from heightened emotions and impulsivity to confidence that could tip over into over-confidence. Mars in Aries will square Pluto too so we may find ourselves quick to temper. Grounding exercises and mindfulness of the potent energies here at this time will be important in allowing fresh positivity in for the duration of the coming lunar cycle.
