There’s a New Moon in Gemini this Monday, the 30th of May
Edited by Gemma
The New Moon this month will occur at 12:30 pm BST at 09°03’ of Gemini. This New Moon itself will be set apart from the rest of the planets in more ways than one. Firstly, it will appear just outside of what would otherwise be quite a neat cluster shape in a chart formed by the other planets. Secondly, the conjunction of the Sun and the Moon will be otherwise unaspected by the other planets. But what does this mean? We know that when two planets (or lights) are so closely conjunct they can act as one and we also know that the Sun and Moon together represent a duality of the human persona that is intimately connected with relationships. We have the Moon that represents the nurturing, instinctual and receptive side of us and the Sun which represents the identity that offers vitality, spirit and connection.
If the Sun and the Moon can be seen as one and are unaspected at this time, they’re not participating in the show that is being played by the rest of the planets. They’re rogue and with the rest of the planets forming a cluster shape, these are very focused and determined to do something. The question is, what is the show about and what is it they’re doing that our most intimate, personal relationships are not participating in?
The New Moon Lands in Gemini
With the New Moon this month landing at 09°03’ of Gemini, they are in the sign that represents connectedness and communication. Having said this, with them not aspecting any of the other planets, they may be experiencing a vague sense of loss as they move onwards on their journey through the chart at this time. They are meant to be playing the role of the communicators, but who are they communicating with at this time? Whilst they are disposed back to their ruler Mercury, who now sits at 26°37’ of Taurus in retrograde motion, they are energetically orientated towards the past. With the world of communications in awry, as is typically the case under the Mercury retrograde, there is likely to be a period of review instead, as it relates instead to the world of thought and mental projections. With Mercury making their way back towards the North Node of the Moon at 22°32’ of Taurus, how can we do better in our most intimate relationships in terms of mindset, silent communications and expectations?
Mercury will Square Saturn
As Mercury applies in a square to Saturn again via retrograde motion, this ruler of the Full Moon is also reviewing all the psychological structures and limitations we have had in place that haven’t necessarily served us well up until this point. Perhaps this is a time to consider how our current or past fears have prevented us from experiencing what life has to offer when we’ve had the opportunity to. Perhaps we wish to express love in a life of simplicity when so far we have reached a world of complexity through our own creations. The bottom line is, there is a lot to consider as we now contemplate how we can structure our thoughts moving forwards in ways that will serve us better in the future.
Mars will Conjoin Jupiter
As Mars conjoins Jupiter in Aries at the time of the Full Moon, we have a triple dose of fire on our hands and this has the potential to inject some fervour into our actions and the way we approach the beliefs, desires and the challenges we meet at this time. Should we meet challenges associated with our beliefs and if so, how will we go about dealing with this? The fact these all land in Aries suggests we will meet all of these head-on, whilst retaining the forward momentum we will need to take us where we know we wish to go. In the world of physical movement and standing our ground, glancing backwards isn’t our thing as we are geared towards advancement and expansion whatever the cost!
Venus will Square Pluto
As Venus squares Pluto from Taurus, Pluto will be softened by the planet of beauty and grace as she resides in her own sign. At the same time, Venus’ movement towards art and romance will be coloured by Pluto’s desire to enter the darker territories of the mind. We may feel we need to change our writing, sculpturing or brushwork as a result and we may be called to change the way we look for harmony in matters of love, aesthetics and finances.
More about Monday’s New Moon in Gemini
Mercury trines Pluto Again
Mercury moved over a trine to Pluto between the 26th and the 30th of April and has now spent the past week moving over the trine again, to stay until the 14th of June throughout Mercury’s transition from retrograde to direct. Whatever needs reviewing, thinking about or considering in-depth, now and over the next couple of weeks there will be some potent energies supporting this process for us all. As Mercury changes direction whilst in this trine, we can use this time to gradually work on ways to move forwards with greater meaning and soulful purpose. There is no rush, so allow the messages from spirit or your intuition to come to you as and when they may.
