The Full Moon This Saturday will be in Libra!
Edited by Gemma
This month’s Full Moon will be at 26°45’ Libra. It will reach fullest lunation on Saturday the 16th of April at 7:55 pm in the UK and will be the last Full Moon we will have before the start of this year’s eclipse season through Taurus and Scorpio at the end of the month.
This Full Moon looks to be an exploratory period in which we will be given access to many varied deep emotions and themes within us as they are released. The Full Moon is a period of emotional release and as the New Moon back on the 1st of April was so closely conjoining Chiron, this will now be a time to release many of those feelings that are associated with deep wounds and have been stored within us for a long time. This may be an intense period for many of us, but it will also be a time of renewal and cleansing.
The Aries – Libra axis
The Aries – Libra axis is the axis of the self versus the other or more specifically, our core self vesus who we are in interpersonal relationships. Therefore this axis brings to mind the constant balancing act that we often need to consider between remaining true to ourselves and finding ways to reach a harmonious union in all our one-on-one partnerships. Whilst Libra may at times lose itself in the other or become indecisive as to what it needs, Aries is always striving to reach the ‘I am’ from a perspective of will power and identity. The Full Moon this April will be centred on a theme of finding this balance within ourselves and asking ourselves, how can we really be of value to others if we have yet to reach a sense of belonging within ourselves and in this world?
Pluto will Square the Full Moon
Pluto’s square to the Full Moon will be at the crux of a T-Square between itself, the Moon and the Sun. In receiving a lot of tense energy from the balancing act of the Full Moon, Pluto will be in a position to ignite powerful change and transformations within us that directly relate to the balance between our identities and our relationships. There will some doors wide open to some very personal changes and, with Pluto in Capricorn, we may also make some changes to the ways we approach work and make shifts to create that much-needed sense of stability in our lives.
Saturn will Trine the Full Moon
With Saturn, our planet of security and strength making a beautiful trine to the Full Moon, she will also sextile the Sun. This will work to bring a sense of order and much-needed maturity in-to the ways we balance our lives and release our ancient traumas. With this there may come a sense of emotional responsibility and commitment to ourselves and others and it will help us remain focussed on building up towards a long-term common goal in order to reach a greater sense of fulfilment.
Mercury will Conjoin Uranus
Mercury’s conjunction with Uranus will help to bring us into new ideas and perspectives that we may not usually find, especially for those of us without the Uranus to Mercury aspect already present in our natal charts. We may now see ways we can open our minds to seek and find levels of clarity we were previously unaware of and, with Mercury and Uranus in fixed earth sign Taurus, this might mean we can also find new ways of maintaining a basic level of psychological comfort in all our experiences.
There are some potential downsides to this aspect during the Full Moon, however. One of these is there may be a tendency to radicalise some ideas and concepts to the point where these thoughts and ideas may appear to be the only ones that are right. Whilst there is a tendency to think outside of the box, there can also be a danger of going so far out of the box in such a self-righteous way that it is difficult to allow alternative perspectives or suggestions to co-exist. Ideas therefore can become extreme, dogmatic and lose their value in the process.
Venus will Sextile Mercury and Uranus
With Venus in sextile to the Mercury – Uranus conjunction, all matters of the heart will also benefit from this fresh new perspective that Uranus can offer. Venus is exalted in Pisces and Taurus is a sign of Venus’ domicile so the effects may be positive and beneficial whilst perhaps being able to steer clear of any of that potential dogma we could see with Mercury and Uranus so close together. There may also be a tendency to want to talk about love and romance in new ways, whilst uncovering truths that were previously buried.
Mars will be In Pisces
Mars is in Pisces and will have moved to 1°15’ of the sign by the time of the Full Moon. This means that while life will perhaps slow down for many of us, we’ll also begin to more fully ab-sorb all of our surroundings, especially in terms of atmosphere, emotion and aesthetics. We may have more of a tendency to want to daydream, take it easy and our compassion for others will increase. We may even find our compassion increasing for those we don’t usually get along with and we may like to lift others up with genuine gestures of love.
