An Astrological Forecast of March 2022
Edited by Gemma
It’s now time do dive into March, a favourite month for many because by this time, days are starting to get longer and the Sun is shining brighter and warmer. There’s promise in the air of seasonal changes, greater activity in nature’s fields and fun to be had as people start to reappear after their long hibernation period. March is the month of the much-celebrated Spring equinox, which is also International Astrology Day and the day the Sun enters Aries. This is the beginning point of the whole zodiac and represents the birth of new things and fresh beginnings.
This month is not really so full of astrological events, as far as months go. March is very much quite simple and straight-forwards, just as the general character of the first fire sign, Aries. On the 2nd of March we have the New Moon in Pisces underway and then we have both Venus and Mars entering into Aquarius on the same day as one another, Sunday the 6th. Mercury then ingresses into Pisces on the 10th and our Full Moon in Virgo reaches maximum lunation on the 18th of March. The Sun enters Aries on equinox day on the 20th and Mercury then enters into Aries on the 27th.
Read on to discover more about the meaning of each of these events and the effects they could carry in your day-to-day life.
The New Moon in Pisces on the 2nd
The New Moon that lands on the 2nd of March occurs exact at 5:35 pm UTC at 12°06’ of Pisces. This is set to be such a wonderful and enchanting New Moon as both the Sun and the Moon will be applying towards a conjunction with Jupiter in Pisces. All three will share the sign with Neptune, who’ll be further activated by a conjunction with Jupiter next month on the 12th of April.
However, this New Moon will have an edge that runs deep as well as the Piscean sense of enchantment. Mars will almost exactly conjoin Pluto with Venus in Capricorn, so meditation and other ways of connecting with your inner light or nature are very much advised at this time. With Mars and Pluto trining the North Node, there may be a lot of uncovering of hidden truths at an international level or on a large scale and these will have to be dealt with by all. On a personal level, we must be prepared to heal whatever is ready to come up for attention, whether this is hidden anger or past trauma.
Mars enters Aquarius on the 6th
When Mars enters Aquarius, we’ll be moving on from our ‘heads down’ methods of pushing forwards with career, our daily working grind and planning ahead. We’ll now be moving into a period of ‘the world is an equal platform for everyone’ and ‘everything is fair game’. When Mars is in Aquarius we’re not easily intimidated and will express ourselves much more freely with all the technology that’s available to us or within reach.
Venus enters Aquarius on the 6th
Venus entering Aquarius on the same day will bring forth all the quirky artistic styles and romantic couples will conjure a sense of openness and understanding towards one-another, regardless of what each person is going through or wants to express. It’s a time to let your individuality shine within your relationship!
Mercury enters Pisces on the 10th
When Mercury enters Pisces, he’ll move into his sign of detriment and this event could bring an air of haziness and general confusion with it. Mercury in Pisces is oh so dreamy and flowing – he doesn’t really like to plan ahead. Conversational tones are likely to be less structured and perhaps more meaningful, as we focus on the empathy we have for each other. This is a time to lift each other up and look out for those less fortunate.
There’s a Full Moon in Virgo on the 18th
The Full Moon in Virgo on the 18th will neatly trine Pluto in Capricorn, so again there will be a theme of releasing and uncovering old wounds in order to heal. The Virgo Moon will ensure all uncovered is dissected into all its miniscule working parts. We’ll then have Venus, Mars and Saturn in Aquarius, ensuring a certain detachment in the way we deal with all Pluto digs up. We may leave the Full Moon with a sense of winning in this respect, especially as Venus will be exactly sextiling Chiron, offering a beautiful access to healing for all.
The Sun enters Aries on the 20th
International Astrology Day is upon us today and the Spring Equinox is here to be celebrated. What a sweet and lovely way to move on into Aries season, I feel excited just writing about it! Life itself will seem to quicken for many, as there will be less dawdling about both within ourselves and peripherally. Let’s go!
Mercury enters Aries on the 27th
We will now be moving from Mercury in detriment to Mercury at full tilt. This is not a time for holding back when there is something to be said, but rather a time of letting it all out and even for potential catharsis. This will also be a great time for software development, emailing and other forms of business correspondence. You are likely to receive a much quicker response and turn-around from this moment on.
