Auspicious Times to Change Jobs

Edited by Gemma

Since the pandemic gripped the world in 2020 the world of employment and career has been hit with many trials to say the least. Not only have employers been challenged to remain in the game financially whilst having to stay home and isolate but their loyalty and integrity to their employees has also been tested to the limit whilst having to decide on communication methods, whether to keep employees on and whether to pay them despite their ongoing troubles.

In the last few years there have been more changes to working conditions and our jobs than we could have foreseen, which has caused swathes people to seek new employment, but what really is the best time for us to change jobs from an astrological perspective?

During Major Jupiter Transits

Jupiter is the greater benefic and is well known as the planet of luck and expansion, therefore whichever transit you are experiencing, if it’s a Jupiter transit it’s more often than not a time that will bring along something helpful in your life. However, some are better for finding new jobs than others.

Jupiter in the 10th House

The 10th house relates to our career so Jupiter’s transit here is probably the best transit for finding new employment. At this time you can be sure that whichever steps you take you will likely come across as knowledgeable and enthusiastic to new employers. Jupiter is good for our public image in our 10th house, so venture out there and seek what's on offer.

Jupiter in the 2nd House

While the 2nd house doesn't directly relate to employment, it is a house of material worth that can indicate our earnings. This is why when Jupiter is moving through our second house, whatever changes we’re likely to make, they’re likely to increase our earnings or personal financial situation in some way. It’s an auspicious time to find new employment!

Jupiter in the 9th House

Jupiter in the 9th house is generally beneficial but this is especially so for any type of employment that requires travelling, moving abroad or associating and communicating with people abroad. This is because the 9th house relates to all things overseas. This is also the house of higher education so it’s a perfect time to start a job requiring training on the job or a higher education study certificate during work experience. Simply being in the ninth house does strengthen Jupiter overall so it's a great time to expand your horizons.

When Saturn is in a Beneficial Alignment

Saturn is the planet of hard work and responsibilities, but this doesn't mean it’s always perfect as a significator for finding new work roles. Sometimes hard aspects to Saturn are an initiator of our test of strength, but this isn’t always in alignment with us in ways that will show us a fair return for the work we have done. However, some Saturn transits are beneficial for new employment

Saturn Trine Natal Saturn

When Saturn is in a trine aspect to our natal Saturn, we’re more likely to take on responsibilities that are in alignment with our highest good at the time. New responsibilities taken on now will prove as much more beneficial and may also be long lasting. This is a time when Saturn is simply more likely to bring us that help to reach our highest future goals

Saturn Trine Natal Mars

Saturn trine natal Mars is a brilliant time to take on a new job because we simply have much more strength at this time and personal reserves of willpower and fortitude that will be sure to be appreciated by a new employer. This is also a great time to make efforts to start building something new in our lives that's going to last us while benefiting us for years to come.

Certain Uranus Transits

While it’s true Uranus can cause some disruptions in our lives as he has been known to, there’s also a side to Uranus that can prove quite beneficial when he highlights our lives in certain ways within our natal charts. Hard aspects to angles or personal planets are generally unpredictable times for us, so I wouldn't necessarily advise changing jobs at these times but when Uranus transits certain houses it may operate slightly differently.

Uranus in the 10th House

Uranus in the 10th house usually brings changes for us within our career which are sometimes unexpected changes, but most often these are changes for the better. Uranus in the 10th house can incite us to do some soul-searching to figure out our most authentic forms of expression within our careers. This is why changes made at this time will usually lead to both expansion and more enjoyable work.

Uranus in the 9th House

Uranus in the 9th house is a brilliant time to begin any venture when it comes to occupation that requires the application of experience. Not only is Uranus comfortable here, but we’re also more geared towards achievements that are in line with our core belief systems and values. We may also be more creative and mentally astute academically so it's a great time to learn new roles or new subjects that will propel us forwards in the career world.
