Romance and Synastry Astrology – Composite Jupiter in the Houses

Edited by Gemma

Composite charts are charts that can be created from a combination two people’s zodiacal points on the natal wheel and are fundamentally used for a synastry analysis. Both romantic and platonic relationships can be analysed using them and they usually provide astrologers with an inside view on how the relationship might play out. We can also see the potential ups and downs of said relationship by looking at the chart.

While the Sun in the composite charts hints at the most important aspects of life as a couple, including a couple’s identity together, Jupiter will show us where a couple is likely to encounter a lot of growth whilst together. Areas of life touched by Jupiter will generally be benevolent, yet there may also be some dangers of excess in those areas as well, especially with Jupiter afflicted.

Let’s have a look at Jupiter in each house of the composite chart and its meaning.

In The 1st House

This placement indicates a relationship in which expressions of Jupiter might become very important to you both, such as personal philosophy, beliefs or world travel. It is likely a feel-good relationship that allows you both to grow and become more fulfilled individuals and if it ends, it is very likely to be on good terms.

In The 2nd House

Jupiter here can be an indication that a couple will not necessarily need to fear scarcity when they are together, but will more than likely be able to obtain a sufficient amount of material comfort. There is however a warning there may be some excessive spending, as such desires may be bought to the forefront of a union.

In The 3rd House

Because the 3rd house is the house of the mind, this relationship may help to expand the consciousness of those parties involved through explorations of academic subjects together and via ‘chewing the fat’ through debates of worldly goings-on. Communications are likely to be flowing and easy between the two, also.

In The 4th House

This placement indicates an increased chance that the two people might eventually own property together and if they do, it could be a source of abundance in profit or income. Their home is likely to be warm, interesting and inviting and they may both thoroughly enjoy having guests over for social events.

In The 5th House

Jupiter in the 5th house indicates a satisfactory relationship that feels great and supports the two people’s most creative and playful expressions. This is especially good for a romantic relationship and can indicate a greater possibility the two may eventually share (and really enjoy parenting) children together.

In The 6th House

This placement is great for the general day-to-day humdrum of a relationship and means two people will more than likely remain positive about responsibilities and daily routines together. Jupiter here is great for any relationship, but it’s especially favourable for co-workers to have as they support each other in the work place.

In The 7th House

Jupiter in the 7th house is especially favourable for any relationship and it may be that the two people simply love being around one another. There may be a constant sense of growth and happiness, while they idolise each other. Personal freedoms may be a theme in this relationship, but not so much as they become a problem.

In The 8th House

Constant personal transformations that are fuelled by the relationship will likely become a recurring theme here, especially if this is a romantic relationship. However, this is also a great placement for business partners, especially if the business is in property, banking or other such financial instruments.

In The 9th House

There is a double whammy here for couples with this placement, as all things Jupiter may become especially important within the relationship. There may be an evidently idealistic quality to their perception of the relationship and honour, scholarship, social justice and travel may become connecting themes throughout.

In The 10th House

With this placement of Jupiter, business ventures between two people may have a high chance of success and moral conduct and honesty will be very important between the two at all times. There may be a desire to climb the social ladder and ventures to do with education, religion, politics or law are likely to run especially smoothly.

In The 11th House

Jupiter here may suggest that an excellent friendship could potentially grow between the two people, whether friends or as a romantic couple. This may be because they may share many of the same hopes, dreams and ideas about society. Having lots of things to talk about will make connecting especially interesting.

In The 12th House

Jupiter here is quite a fortunate position, because many of the usual complications associated with the 12th house are often alleviated as Jupiter has a tendency to bring unconscious problems to the surface. Things can therefore be dealt with openly and with positivity that can have many couples hiding secrets instead.
