The New Moon in Scorpio on Wednesday the 4th of November

Edited by Gemma

The Astrological Events During this Coming New Moon in Scorpio.

November’s New Moon will be at 13° Scorpio (well, it’s technically 12°40’, yet 13° when rounded off). With the New Moon occurring in Scorpio, now is a great time to make changes and perhaps even begin a new deep healing process that will take you through the winter months. The New Moon is a time for starting new things and in Scorpio, there will be themes of regeneration, especially within relationships and as our current life applies to deep fears and resentments. There will be opportunities to work through blockages that were previously inaccessible or deeply buried throughout the Moon’s cycle between this New and Full Moon, so it may help to make the most of this time of potential healing.

Anyone with personal planets or their Ascendant, Descendant, Midheaven or IC at 11°, 12° or 13° of any of the fixed signs (Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius or Leo) are likely to experience this cycle quite strongly. Opportunities will open and themes will begin to play out during this New Moon week and then there will be an activation boom that will pack quite a punch during the week of the partial eclipse later in the month, so please take some notes and jot the dates down in your diary.

Read on to find out why this cycle will be especially activated.

The New Moon will Oppose Uranus

The New Moon on the 4th of November will exactly oppose Uranus and will do so with such a tight orb that Uranus’ involvement in this week’s themes (and for the coming two to three weeks) will be undeniable. We have to remember that Uranus is in detriment in Taurus and is still in retrograde, so although Taurus is stabilising to Uranus somewhat we still may not know just what to expect. Anything that follows the theme of Uranus in Taurus coupled with a dose of Scorpio energy could be a new thing to begin with. Think about hidden news coming to light about an advanced food technology, which will eventually lead to changes in products or a creatively genius yet practical idea you have that you’re keeping to yourself that will come to a head at the time of the Full Moon. These things will bring this opposition into manifestation. Perhaps you can begin a new project around the time of the New Moon and see that you begin to reap some of the rewards during the activation time of the Full Moon. If you don’t have any plans as such, something may well come to light that you were previously unaware of that can affect your life in a practical sense for months to come.

The Moon - Mars Activation on the 18th

By the 18th, the Moon will have moved on in her cycle all the way to 12° Taurus, the opposition point of this Thursday’s New Moon. It’s the exact same degree Uranus sits both during the New Moon and at the Full Moon, as he’s moving so slowly in his own cycle. Additionally, Mars will have moved from 3° Scorpio where he sat during the New Moon to also meet the same degree at 12° Scorpio.

Essentially, both the Moon and Mars will be ‘activating’ the New Moon degree again and with this happening just one day before a partial lunar eclipse, it’s all the more important astrologically speaking. On activation date (the day before the eclipse on the 19th), the New Moon’s themes will come back into our lives, yet this time concrete events are more likely to take place with Mars activating the degree.

We (people) can tend be more accident prone during Mars-Uranus oppositions, so please be careful. Also, take some time out for rest and self-care if you need to because Mars is connected with passionate and emotional outbursts.

The New Moon to Uranus opposition will Square Saturn

We’ve had lots of Saturn squares this past year, most notably the recurring Saturn square Uranus. These two planets have moved in and out of their square throughout the year, yet have never been very far from the aspect, meaning we may have felt the effect of it the whole time to some extent. Now, the New Moon will join in on this configuration as it’s opposition to Uranus will square Saturn. This may bring us a sense that we need to consolidate our desires for freedom with our requirements for stability, security and something long-term or lasting and squares usually bring with them an instinct or need to act now, rather than later.

Vesta Will be Strongly Aspected

Vesta will trine Neptune, square Jupiter and sextile Pluto, all simultaneously at the time of the New Moon, bringing her energy through very strongly. There will be passions soaring and greater instincts to survive and to ‘keep that flame of home and hearth burning’. We have all faced difficulties this year and perhaps even at times wondered how we are going to survive, but this isn’t just a time for mere survival, it’s a time to release the Vesta goddess and warrioress within us in ways that will see us through even the toughest of challenges. It’s good to know we also have Mars in Scorpio on our side!
