Romance and Synastry Astrology – Composite Moon in the Houses

Edited by Gemma

As I mentioned in my previous article on composite charts, these are charts that are created from a combination two people’s charts for a synastry analysis. They are for relationships, both romantic and friendship and we can see how a relationship will likely unfold, with its challenges and perks by looking at the chart.

While the Sun in the composite charts hints at the important things in life as a couple and our self expression, the Moon is essential in the chart for gauging compatibility at an emotional level. Will emotions be so intense they’re difficult to manage, will there be an overly formal vibe or will the composite Moon see a good connection balanced with some practicality between the two?

This article covers the meanings of the Moon in each house of your composite charts. Please visit Esotelcard.com for a greater, in-depth astrological insight from a professional astrologers.

In The 1st House

This placement indicates a relationship in which emotions may have a tendency to become quite strong or extreme. One great thing is that you will usually be able to see how each other are feeling at any given time, yet it will sometimes help to stand back from the relationship to gain a clear and practical perspective, too.

In The 2nd House

With the Moon here there is usually a great sense of emotional security, with a shared love of buying things and owning things together. Material security is very important to you both and you may also share many other of the same values in life together. This helps keep you together, but you may also hoard many valuables.

In The 3rd House

Day-to-day thoughts within the relationship are likely to be centred around emotions while it is likely communication tends to be mainly non-verbal and subjective. The 3rd house is the house of thoughts and communication so the Moon here may be challenging, unless there is openness and a definite common ground.

In The 4th House

The 4th house is a great place for the Moon in a chart for a married couple, because it means there may be a strong sense of belonging with some very similar things shared about your backgrounds or childhoods. There will likely be a strong sense of emotional security, with a high chance of buying a home together.

In The 5th House

Two people are likely able to express their emotions well with each other with composite Moon in the 5th house. It’s also a house that hints there will be a feel-good factor in the relationship, with much time spent having fun. There’s a high chance of children here or that they’ll play an important role, too.

In The 6th House

The Moon here is quite a serious position to be in the composite chart, while the two people may find it difficult to strike a balance within the relationship with regards to practical responsibilities or ‘who does what’. Unfortunately, resentment can build over the long-term, so it’s important to keep things as equal as possible.

In The 7th House

Your emotional perspectives towards the rest of the world will be so similar that you will likely bond in a way that makes you both feel understood by one-another. This is a good placement for romantic partnership or marriage, as you may become quite involved and intertwined. Try to appreciate a logical viewpoint, too.

In The 8th House

This relationship will likely change you both as individuals because it has ways of bringing you both to study your emotions from deep and transformative perspectives. It’s important you work on your shared ideological values as well as your psychological ones in order for a well-rounded connection to flourish.

In The 9th House

You may be from different countries, cultures or you may find that you travel long distances together while exploring the world. It’s also likely your spiritual beliefs and values are in alignment together or you truly accept one another’s outlook on life. It’s likely a rewarding relationship that can greatly inspire you both.

In The 10th House

This is usually a great relationship for business because any career or public pursuits will likely be favourable. You will have a good public image when together and you may both be quite concerned with progressing or getting ahead in such a way. This is also good in a personal relationship if there are romantic placements, too.

In The 11th House

This is good for both love and friendship because many of your wishes and hopes in life will be shared and understood by one-another. This is great for spending time together and with friends, having fun in groups and sharing your talents with the outside world. It’s a position of easy-going respectfulness.

In The 12th House

The Moon here is in a very difficult position, so these relationships may be quite hard to maintain. It may be tough to understand what you are feeling in the relationship and even harder to understand the other person and this can lead to dishonesty between you both or an inability to completely relax and open up.
