Full Moon in Aries on the 20th of October
Edited by Gemma
This month’s Full Moon will occur in Aries on the 20th of October at around 3:57 pm BST. One of the first things I noticed when looking at the Full Moon chart is the fact there are only three planets in feminine signs and these are Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. These three being the gen-erational planets suggests there will be a lot of focussed movement within the personal spheres of influence, which is represented by the rest of the planets, all in masculine signs. Life from a sociological perspective may have really slowed down following the pandemic and now more and more people are simply focussed on getting their working and home lives back on track.
With that being said, the Full Moon does occur this month right after four planets in the solar system have turned direct, so there will be a surge of more positive activity which can propel us forwards in these goals, especially around the time of the Full Moon, so make the most of this energy. There will be more luck in these areas and expansion, especially with Jupiter having turned direct on the 18th of October and now, during the Full Moon, Jupiter will trine action planet Mars. Read on to find out more.
The Aries - Libra Axis
The Aries - Libra axis is the axis of the self versus partnerships. This highlights the expressions of ourselves, both in isolation and in balance with others, such as our spouses, partners, col-leagues and family members. Aries likes to lead the way with unfiltered creative expression, whereas Libra balances and refines that expression in ways that are harmonious with others. Therefore this personalises the meaning of October’s Full Moon even further, by making it about striking balances between ourselves and others, not just in our relationships, but in our dealings with the outside world as we go about reaching for our goals too.
The Full Moon will Square Pluto
While the Full Moon occurs along the axis of the self in partnerships, Pluto in Capricorn will be in a squared alignment to this axis, while receiving a whole lot of tension energy and pressure from the axis. As the crux of this T-Square formation, Pluto will take on a dynamic position at the time of the Full Moon, so there could well be some push and pull between us and our loved ones or business partners and within relationships of all types. Push and pull dynamics relating to power could colour the whole of the week of the Full Moon and the preceding week for many of us, but after the Full Moon period, any recent drama as a result of this should begin to wane in alignment with the waning phase of the Moon’s cycle.
Mars will Conjoin the Sun
Mars conjoining the Sun in Libra at the time of the Full Moon could mean there will be some ego clashes, especially relating to practical matters and the balance of responsibilities. With Pluto being in Capricorn and Mars tightly squaring Pluto, themes of obligation and restraint are likely. Mars being in close alignment with the Sun will bring our core self image into the equa-tion and we may at times feel as though we have to defend ourselves, while at the same time feeling as though this shouldn’t be necessary. Still, with Mercury, Mars and the Sun in Libra, it is likely we will try to remain as diplomatic as possible while trying to restore the peace as much as we can. Taking some time out for self-care is key really, especially if the tensions at this time contribute to any increased anxiety for us within our relationships.
Mars will Closely Trine Jupiter
Mars in trine to Jupiter is one of the more positive aspects at the time of the Full Moon. With Jupiter having just turned direct in Aquarius where he’s happy in his expressions, we may find the positivity and energy we need to reach our goals and get along with others despite inevita-ble tensions. The week of the Full Moon will be a great time to get lots of work done or even to go out, play and take some time off. Jupiter’s buoyant energy in trine to Mars will increase the likelihood we will have a fun and exciting time. Just don’t take too many huge risks or gambles!
Mercury Will Oppose Chiron
Chiron in aspect to the personal planets always opens up for us opportunities to heal old wounds and while he is in opposition to Mercury, these could be related to our mind-set, the way we verbalise our opinions or the way we teach ourselves the ropes within certain topics. If anything happened during the Mercury retrograde that set you back that was also relating to Mercury, this week may be a time when things are finally starting to feel better or ‘healed’, very much in the Chironic sense of the word.
Uranus will Oppose Vesta
Vesta represents the divine feminine and the burning spiritual flame within all of us who has unending passions for keeping sacredness lit. Within the maternal and nurturing structure of our loving family homes, Uranus will bring with him acceptance and creativity to keep the flame of Vesta burning.
