Your solar return chart is a chart other than your natal chart that’s calculated every year as the transiting Sun moves over your natal Sun. It provides a predictive interpretation of your year ahead which starts from your birthday, yet the energy of the solar return can often be felt up to three months prior to this, most especially if you are psychic, intuitive or highly sensitive to a wide array of energetic frequencies.

Understandably, the Sun is the most significant planet in the solar return chart and where this is, represents the area of life we might focus a great deal of energy for the coming year. This area of life will become very important to us, as more and more events will seem to come and go in this sector of our lives. This is where we also feel confident in developing our potential.
In the 1st House
Self-development and discovery are the key focuses this year as it is likely the native will see the world through more of a subjective lens than an objective one. With Sun in the solar return, we tend to be more assertive, confident and sure of ourselves. We may need to be more self-reliant than in previous years, too.
In the 2nd House
During this year, financial matters may come to the fore more often than usual, while there tends to be a greater desire for a higher amount of material comfort and security. You may find that you wish to give increased attention to your health and fitness routines, which will likely turn out great for your sense of well-being.
In the 7th House
If you’re already in a relationship, things may heat up a little this year or you may enter into a greater sense of partnership or commitment. In fact, all one-to-one relationships in general look positive. If you are single, there is a much greater chance that you will meet someone who is a good match for you.
In the 8th House
This is a year of delving deeply into your unconscious to discover more about yourself, including ways you can accept all sides of you to overcome any trauma of the past. You may find out you’ll improve your boundaries with others as a result or conversely you may begin to let more people in.
In the 9th House
Your spiritual beliefs and values will become much more of a focal point for you this year than usual as higher knowledge will be highlighted in your solar return. This may also be a time you take further education or study something worldly like religion, culture or politics.
In the 10th House
This year it’s highly likely that you’ll have many events in your life relating to your career or public persona. This could be a promotion, job change or even a change in marital status or birth of a new baby in your family. Either way, this is a year of public developments.
In the 11th House
You may work towards more projects this year that tend to involve larger groups of people or you may find yourself doing things in a community setting where you need to muck in and think about life’s greater meaning or what your creativity means for everyone else in your district.
In the 12th House
With the Sun here there will be numerous possibilities. One is that you will go through this year spending more time to yourself as you simply feel a greater urge to recharge and be in your own energy and thoughts. The second is that you will have a much heightened sense of intuition and perception than usual.
