The Fixed signs
Fixed signs by nature are often unwavering in their stance, whenever they have made up their minds and this can easily be perceived as being stubborn by the other two modalities (Cardinal and Mutable). They often have an unwillingness to budge, which really is just their way of fostering personal security. They have their 'spot' in life and they will protect it with everything they have.
Taurus
This is the sign of earthiness and materialism and they will never budge when obviously directed unless they themselves decide want to. This is especially true when they are being asked to do something outside of their usual routine or give up one of their valued possessions.
Scorpio
This is the fixed sign of emotions and intuition, so they will rarely waver emotionally unless they know they need to, to transform by powering up. They may also choose to do so of their own accord, especially when being called to experience something profound involving empathy and love.
Leo
This is the sign of passion and vibrant energy and, while they will rarely budge in their passions, their fixed quality may make them more grounded than their fellow fire signs, Aries and Sagittarius. This is why they can be so intensely focused, especially when there is a competition to be won.
Aquarius
This is the sign of higher vibrational thought and humanity and they will rarely budge in their ideologies or perceptions unless they themselves can see very good reason to do so. This is especially true when they are debating their concepts and opinions with others.
The Cardinal signs
Cardinal itself means leader or ‘he who comes first’ and this is evident in the energy the cardinal signs emit as they are quite action-oriented. This makes them great to have at any scene of emergency as they can be the first to respond to their environment and they will always be there in times of crisis or need.
Capricorn
This is the sign of both scarcity and responsibility. Capricorns are always there in times of need for their loved ones, especially when there is an emergency or basic resources have diminished. Capricorns also have a very dry sense of humour and can use this well throughout their own times of need.
Cancer
This is the sign of sensitivity and nurturing. Cancerians will always be there when their friends and family are in emotional turmoil, as a shoulder to cry on or to do whatever it takes to help them feel better. Cancer’s are also well-known for their self-deprecating humour style, which helps others feel at ease.
Aries
This is the sign of pure movement and raw energy. Aries are like ‘a cat on a hot tin roof’ and will dive into action whenever they are needed. An Aries is like a warrior, especially when needed to defend their loved ones and will fight ferociously until the end. Their humour is refreshingly original, yet very direct and honest.
Libra
This is the sign of balance and social grace. Librans are often social butterflies who like to frequent the parties all their friends go to. You can always count on a libra to give their two cents when there is a disagreement or a social conflict and it is often fair; one cent for each side of the argument.
Mutable signs
Mutable signs are known as the mediators of the zodiac. Some say they are like a half-way between cardinal and fixed, giving them a unique ability to take on the traits of both, whenever the situation calls for it. This means that mutable signs are the most adaptable between the three modalities.
Virgo
This is the sign of critical thought and service. Virgos usually have the ability to thoroughly analyse any practical situation, especially those in the sphere of work and career. They are then often adaptable enough to accommodate changes as they go, while providing efficient solutions to others’ problems.
Pisces
This is the sign of empathy and the spiritual mind. Pisceans will often easily find compassion for people in a situation, even if they have never met. This is especially true for genuine victims or underdogs. They are often found speaking up for them in an attempt to protect them, too.
Sagittarius
This is the sign of philosophy and social freedom. Sagittarius will often be found lobbying for freedom of speech with their passionate, fiery approach to social justice. You might also find them debating their philosophical viewpoints, in their hope to spread awareness to others.
Gemini
This is the sign of learning and communication. Geminis will often be found talking to many people at a time, because they simply value sharing and receiving social knowledge. Another reason for their communications may be their desire to learn new subjects, so they can share a wealth of valuable ideas.
