Composite Synastry Reading For the Duke and Duchess of Sussex
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle - view composite chart

Composite charts are a good synastry tool for astrology that can indicate many things about a couple’s relationship and some of the main driving forces behind it. We can calculate composite charts from the two people’s natal charts when their correct birth information is known. In this case, we have both Harry and Meghan’s correct birth times so we can see which of their composite houses their planets fall into. Read on for more information. I have previously added some articles on the meanings of the composite planets and the composite Sun through the houses, which you can find on the astrology online website (link provided below) under ‘Learn Astrology’ and ‘Astrology for Lovers’.

Harry and Meghan

Harry and Meghan began dating in 2016 and Harry was reported to have been the happiest he’d been in many years, while Meghan said she felt like the luckiest woman in the world. However unfortunately, almost straight away newspapers began publishing defamatory stories about her and Prince Harry was naturally defensive of her. They were engaged in 2017, married the following year and had son Archie in 2019.

Throughout their relationship, negative newspaper stories about her did not abate, which she suspected was due to bias towards her for her dark skin colour. This, along with other pressures and restrictions she experienced as part of the Royal Family led to her and Prince Harry eventually moving to her original birth place in the USA in early 2020 and giving up their Royal titles. There was quite a storm about the whole thing while they took to the responsibility of making their own money away from the UK. Meghan has since been quite outspoken about her experience in the Royal Family and the fact it negatively impacted her mental health, which she was denied treatment for.

Composite Sun in their 5th House

This placement for their Sun shows that their true self-expression as a couple is very important to them, so they will not like to be stifled or restricted in any way. It also means that this is a feel-good relationship in which they will genuinely and greatly enjoy one another’s company.

Composite Moon in their 3rd House

This placement is great for non-verbal communication and shows how understanding Meghan and Harry are of each other’s feelings, which you can clearly see in the way they put each other first as a couple (what Harry has done throughout for Meghan). This also shows they have many shared opinions and viewpoints in life.

Composite Moon trine Composite Uranus

This indicates that they do not have a conventional relationship – which is true! It is likely that the relationship has greatly altered both their perceptions of life and reality while they have evidently challenged each other to find new and interesting ways to grow. There can also be quite a bit of unpredictability which means they must give each other plenty of freedom to be themselves and to change if they need to.

We can see how this worked out for them as Harry and Meghan have both changed their plans a great deal, with Harry even moving to a different continent to support Meghan. Uranus is in their eighth house, so this means they may need to go through many more transformations together in the future, too.

Composite Venus conjunct Mars in their 6th house

This aspect indicates they have an emotionally intense relationship, in which they are immensely attracted to one-another and this is increased and supported because they also have Venus conjunct Pluto in their natal overlay synastry. In the sixth house, this means that they also have a sense of duty together towards work and responsibilities, so it is not uncommon for this house to come up strong in a reading for couples who work together. They have indeed done so since being together, both in and out of the Royal Family, most recently collaborating on film productions together.

Composite Saturn conjunct Pluto in their 7th house

This placement very well symbolises that they have been through hard times together, especially as a result of difficulties with the outside world. It also indicates economic hardship and tough adversity, yet at the same time a persistence and determination to succeed that can overcome all of this and strengthen their relationship.
