Thursday’s Full Moon in Capricorn and what it Means for you

Edited by Gemma

How we might experience the Full Moon in Capricorn

This week’s Full Moon will be at 3° Capricorn with the Sun directly opposite at 3° Cancer. This will be just three day as after the Summer Solstice, which was on 21st June, marking the longest day of the year and the start of Summer here in the UK. We will now have brighter evenings and longer days!

With the Full Moon occurring along the Capricorn/ Cancer axis, the focus may be primarily on home, family and business, as our nurturing and survival axis is highlighted.

What Jupiter During this Full Moon can Mean for Us

This Full Moon will be forming a lovely sextile to Jupiter, which means the Sun will also be forming a lovely trine to Jupiter and this may provide us with a feel-good outlet that may help to fan any built-up tensions or heightened stress during the Full Moon. However, we may also find that we are a little bit light-headed as Jupiter is retrograde in Pisces. We may have to learn to go with the flow if we are suffering any bouts of confusion this week, While trusting the universe has our backs. Planet of luck and gifts Jupiter is here for us, after all!

The Venus-Pluto Opposition

Another opposition that will cross this Cancer/ Capricorn axis this Thursday is the Venus-Pluto opposition. With this aspect we may be a little more loved up than usual or we may find our relationships to become much more intense. Another way some of us could experience this transit during the Full Moon is by going through some big changes in the name of love, but this all depends on where this opposition sits in your natal chart and whether any of the planets in your chart are forming aspects to it.

More about Thursday’s Full Moon in Capricorn

Mercury’s Position

Mercury has been retrograde since the 29th of May but thankfully turned direct again on the 22nd of June. This provides us a good push and some forward motion on all things to do with communications, legalities and writing projects. Because Mercury will conjoin the Descendant while trining Saturn we may find that we have some solid feedback or advice that we can rely on regarding our projects, especially the ones we are working on with other people. Collaborations at work will therefore feel much more productive and finalised. This is even further supported with the fact that Mercury will be conjoining the Mon’s nodal axis. Yay!

Mars Opposite Saturn

With our Mars opposite Saturn aspect during the Full Moon on Thursday, there could be some delays over the coming weeks on things such as long-term build projects or structural changes within organisations or working systems. However, Mercury’s forward motion and Jupiter’s trine to the Sun could really help smooth out some of the hiccups that could be associated with these things.

We may also find we are feeling a little more cautious in our actions than usual as this tends to be the effect of the Mars opposite Saturn transit.

Chiron Trining the Ascendant in the UK

Chiron will be forming a very neat trine to the Ascendant of the UK during the Full Moon on Thursday, which could really bring this centaur’s character out and, with its sextile to Mercury and the Moon’s South Node, there will even be a cradle aspect pattern between the nodes, the Ascendant/ Descendant axis, Saturn, Chiron and Mercury. This could mean that we will be capable of healing some deep wounds simply by talking about them, which may come about during practical, day-to-day circumstances, seemingly by chance. The cradle pattern can be very supportive of creative energies in this way and anything aspecting the nodes may happen to unfold as if by chance. Chiron will also closely conjoin the IC, bringing this likelihood further into the open.

The Midheaven and the Ascendant

The Midheaven is ruled by Venus, while the Ascendant is ruled by Jupiter, therefore the two most beneficial planets in our solar system will be supporting the whole chart of the Full Moon this week. We must be really lucky! While Jupiter will be great for keeping our spirits high and our moods light, Venus is all about peace and love, so we can expect plenty of balance and harmony too.
