THE OWL OF A CHILDHOOD.
Interpretation of your dream Kirsty
The dream
As a child I had a frighteningly vivid dream of an owl - I can still see him(now over 30 years later) - so real the owl had an ominous chilling effect on me at the time ( feeling I don't think I had ever experienced prior to that or since) It was just its top half, it was so close - staring into my eyes - I can still see those eyes with rich live golden orange flecks and dark round orbits staring at me unmoving - it was there with a sense of purpose and unafraid that I could see him. Also a sense that we were in a forest, the air around was so still and quiet, like time and space stood still, and there was no where to run to or no way to avoid acknowledging his reality, his all pervading meaningful presence even on waking and now even over 30 years later , his feathers were cream with brownish flecks and darker round ears.
This is a dream impression that has remained with me over the years.

Dear Kirsty, this image belongs to something real that impressed you as a child. It could have been a toy, a pet, a person. The way you describe the owl looks like a pelouche or a cartoon. Owls in ancient times were messenger of either bad luck or wisdom. Many dreams as a child could be associated to the eyes of parents, especially when they are angry or come to visit the child during night. The time stood still to reinforce the impotence of the child, staring with fear something out of his or her control ( like parents ). Maybe your owls looks like someone you knew. Recurrent dreams are noticeable WHEN they appear, usually in particular moment of life. This is a crystallization of an emotion and belongs to impotence and judgment. Think about that and write back. Hugs. Augusta
