The myth behind your sign

Jason and the Golden Fleece

There was once a gigantic dragon that lived in a place outside the world of mortals, a netherworld of black rocks and high blue cliffs and which only opened in order to allow the passing of the doves of Zeus that carried ambrosia to the gods. This terrible dragon kept, in its jaws, a golden fleece. In another faraway country there, there was a king who desperately desired that golden fleece but could not find anybody who had the courage, boldness, initiative and even recklessness to grant his wish. Finally the day came when Jason arrived, and he was not one who needed asking twice. He gathered fifty reckless heroes just like himself and loaded them on the “Argo”, a special and swift ship that, so as not to be grounded on the rocks, needed to fly like Zeus' doves. Mission impossible? Impossible mission maybe, and one needing someone to throw themselves at it without asking too many questions as well fighting for an ideal with no guarantee of success. Jason, an Aries, faced and overcame along with his indomitable companions, all of the tests and difficulties, returning home mauled by the jaws of the dragon but with the golden fleece in his fist. This was not, however, with no little help from the tragic Medea, who fell hopelessly in love with him, but whom, once home, was forgotten by brave Jason, although he later paid dearly for it. In myth as well as in life, one should not joke with love.
