Dominant Planets how it works

URANIAN DOMINANT

The Uranians, although intensely aware of all the collective demands and social forces, usually have a strongly individualistic nature. Their personality is made of pragmatic and highly intellectual aspects in equal measure. They are ahead of their time: the future is the dimension they prefer, almost as if they were creators of visions and technicians of the possible. They are often very skilled on a technological level, they know the most innovative applications of modern means of communication, and can embody the perfect example of the curious and visionary computer geek, able to work out any problem related to software and hardware. The Uranian is an experimentalist who is not content with what has already been said and done, but who is always trying to bring, in any condition they are, original elements that can improve human operational ability. With good Mars / Uranus aspects in their chart, they can have a special aptitude for surgery and practical medicine. Actually, hands are connected to Uranus because of its exaltation in the sign of Virgo.

If these people belong to a more mental type of Uranian, they can pursue ideas and philosophies aimed at understanding the socio-political dimension of man, with marked progressive tendencies: they can be especially good at teaching sociology, be interested in anthropology, and generally in the world of work and trade unions, driven by the belief that men must be freed from the hidden mechanisms of power and money that try to manipulate them and restrict their freedom of expression. On a scientific level, they tend to question the pre-existing protocols and to test new theories that can open up new research paths. In art, they are inclined to break the mould with innovative, sometimes even revolutionary, creative energy: this is proved absolutely correct by the great Aquarius people, a sign ruled by Uranus, who made history. Just think of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In fact, music is one of the Aquarian Uranian’s favourite creative expressions, while the mechanical, repairing skills and taste for DIY can frequently distinguish the Virgo Uranian. They can be considerably attracted to the spiritual dimension, but not in a canonical sense: if their faith in man and in the strictly scientific method has not taken all their interests, they can be attracted to the world of Eastern philosophies, to concepts like metempsychosis, reincarnation, enlightenment. Dogmas, just like prejudices, scare them.

The Uranian thinks and acts fast: often, even if they are women, they love riding a motorbike or engaging in activities and hobbies that require a sense of space and a predisposition to use technically advanced tools. They don’t feel a deep sense of belonging to a family, a clan, a city. Blood ties are something to which they conform, but which clash with their rather detached and pragmatic nature.

THE URANIAN AND LOVE

Emotions that are too powerful are not for them. They want a partner who is understanding, friendly, mentally stimulating, who can share interesting activities with them, and, above all, who won’t control every step they take. They are very independent people, and they expect from others the same ability they have to manage things with creativity and practical sense.

The Uranian woman often amazes men for her ability to be focused on her life without sugary trivialities and rose-coloured dreams.

Both men and women do not look for a mother or father figure in their partners: the Uranians have nothing to do with a Lunarian’s family dynamics and a Neptunian’s romantic inspiration: even the consuming passion of Mars can be totally unknown to them. They are opportunists: they are very good at seizing the right opportunities, and if they choose to be with someone is because they think that this person can turn out useful on different levels in that specific time of their life. Otherwise, they prefer to be alone.

They love freedom more than anything else and friendship is the feeling they are most in tune with. They often join groups and circles, which become fundamental pillars in their life.

If you want to win them over, you have to stand out from the masses, show you have a curious and lively character, that you are independent and can propose fruitful initiatives also on a business level. A Uranian who finds a partner able to share with them their desire to fulfil, achieve, venture into innovative commercial, technological, artistic and intellectual paths is halfway won over, and could even give in altogether. They are not the kind of lovey-dovey partner: they will probably show you how much they care by being there for you to work out practical problems and making you confident in the future, which is what they believe in more than anything else.

If they begin to lose interest, they could suddenly dump you without too many explanations or start teasing you insistently on those they perceive to be your flaws, in order to push you away. If you are the one to be tired, don’t worry too much about it: Uranians tend to get over breakups quite easily, they have a thousand interests and always look ahead.

THE URANIANS AND THE OTHER PLANETARY DOMINANT TYPES

They are more likely to get along with the Mercurians, who are just as quick-thinking, witty and curious as they are. The Saturnians can fascinate them for their pragmatic and reflective nature. The Plutonians can intrigue the Uranian, but the latter will fear their dark and twisted side. They cannot understand the Lunarians, whose tendency to develop emotional dependencies or distort reality, even if in a creative way, scares them. The same goes for the Neptunians, although their thinking outside the box and being forward-looking, can give life to a very fruitful connection, especially on a business level. The Martians are considered too impulsive, although their resolute action is appreciated, while the Solarians, with their egocentricity, leave them cold. Venusians and Jupiterians can be liked for their attitude, but only if they have elements in their chart compensating for their basic hedonism, which is rejected by Uranus, with some intellectual sparks and some practical sense.
