The Solar Eclipse in Taurus this Saturday the 30th of April
Edited by Gemma

The solar eclipse on Saturday will be the first eclipse of four happening in 2022 along the Taurus-Scorpio axis. There will be one each of these powerful eclipses in each of the signs throughout the year; meaning both a lunar and solar eclipse in Scorpio and both a lunar and solar eclipse in Taurus. So we begin these with this partial solar eclipse on Saturday that will lead this lunar cycle through into a total lunar eclipse in Scorpio on the 16th of May. Our final two eclipses will then occur later in the year in October/ November time.

These eclipses occurring alongside the nodes over the Taurus-Scorpio axis bring to mind a great deal of focus and evolution around the themes of desire, sensuality, love and sex. Rulers Venus and Mars will either ignite passions with the intention of growth and or bring them to a halt with the soul’s intention of learning. There will also be issues surrounding ownership, individuality and self-worth versus truth and diving deep into the experience of our unconscious urges for cycles of growth and transformation.

The New Moon will Conjoin Uranus

Both the Sun and the Moon will be applying in a conjunction with Uranus at the time of Saturday’s solar eclipse. This will be a time when our identity and individuality is strong while at the same time there’s a lot of space for love and authenticity to flourish. We can also see that a change is on the horizon and that for growth in our lives and comfort within ourselves to continue, some shifts will need to be made. The question is, what will these shifts be and how are we going to go about setting them in motion? Uranus is urging us to be as creative as we can when finding ways to move forwards in our seat of truth this month. If we are going to grow, we will also need to accept change into our lives and embrace something completely new, possibly even extraordinary or unexpected.

The New Moon will form a Sextile with Mars

Forming a flowing sextile with Mars in Pisces, the New Moon will be bringing in energy that is rich in imagination, love and gentle emotion. The sexual and passionate side of Mars will be given an outlet with the sensual solar eclipse that is disposed to Venus, also in Pisces. Artistic expression will also be flowing with inspiration, channelled insight and fresh initiative, that will to supported by Uranus’ position in a sextile with Mars.

Venus will conjoin Jupiter

Venus will be moving towards Jupiter at this time and will only be 28 minutes away from forming an exact conjunction at 27°57’ of Pisces. This will be such a wonderful blend of energies to have in the skies at the time of the eclipse as it symbolises the union between unconditional love and openness to faith and spirituality. With this eclipse, we are guided by light and love, mutual understanding and empathy and this will help us find our way throughout the coming cycle.

Mercury will Trine Pluto

By this time Pluto is now in retrograde motion, having turned retrograde the day before on the 29th of April whilst on the same day, Mercury ingressed into Gemini. Mercury is now in a trine to the Pluto retrograde and this will offer us a unique depth of insight into many of life’s daily situations we find ourselves in. What is the essential meaning behind our thoughts and conversations and how can we create a positive impact with the way we speak? These may be some of the questions being asked at the time of the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Taurus.
Mercury in Pluto is also a supportive time to change our mentality and mindset towards various situations in our lives in healing and transformative ways, especially when looking back on all that has happened since early January when Pluto was last at 26° of Capricorn.

Saturn and Vesta will Square the Moon’s Nodal Axis

Saturn

The Moon’s nodal axis represents for us a movement in the same direction for humanity as a sum of all of its parts. We’re moving towards a place of greater responsibility, not towards authority as has been for so long but towards each other. Saturn in Aquarius looks at the scrutiny of authority and the ways in which the growth of humanity can be restricted when abused and in recent years the reset we’re experiencing is urging us to view the world in a new light.

Vesta

With the Moon’s nodal axis squaring the midpoint between Vesta and Saturn, the ancient flame of sacred spirituality is burning just as it always has and as this emerges stronger and stronger, we’re being forced to look at the reality of our current situation here on Earth. With Venus in her conjunction with Jupiter and both Vesta and Saturn squaring the Moon’s nodes from their places at 20° and 24° Aquarius, respectively, how can our global community come together to create the changes that are needed to prevent the same mistakes we have cycled through for so long now and in the future?
