An Astrological Forecast of February 2022
Edited by

It’s now the second month of 2022 and a completely new vibe is upon us. Do you feel as though times are changing much more rapidly now? 2020 and 2021 were intense and tough years, but now with the numerology of the number 6, 2022 will be more about harmony, love and balance. With January out of the way, it’s now time for the month of romance, especially with Valentine’s Day taking centre stage on the 14th of February.

This month is going to be a fairly fast-paced month, with not quite as many astrological events as we had in January. We straight away begin the month with a New Moon in Aquarius on the 1st of February and the Mercury will turn direct whilst still in Capricorn soon after on the 4th. Ceres will then enter Gemini on the 9th, with Mercury set to re-enter Aquarius on the 14th of February (yes you guessed it, Valentine’s day)! Our Full Moon this month will land on the 16th in Leo and then the Sun will enter Pisces to mark the Pisces season on the 18th. Jupiter will then semi-square Pluto on the 23rd. Let’s have a closer look at the meaning of each of these events.

The New Moon in Aquarius on the 1st

The New Moon on the 1st of the month occurs at 12° Aquarius and conjoins Saturn, so while this month is very much still about structuring certain aspects of our lives and laying foundations, it is also about looking ahead progressively and considering all the future opportunities we may have, based on how far we have come up to this point. There is also likely to be a lovely sense of freedom that envelopes the month, with Uranus in a smooth trine aspect to Venus.

Mercury turns Direct at 24° Capricorn on the 4th

Mercury will turn direct on the 4th, while in a conjunction with Pluto and this means we will be surging ahead with new-found clarity and depth of insight following our reviews and reflections of the retrograde period. These changes are significant as the Sun will also be in a tight conjunction with Saturn, hence it’s likely many of us will have all our ducks in a row while looking to the future at this point. Yay!

Ceres Enters Gemini on the 9th

Ceres, also known as the Goddess Mother Earth, rules over nurturing, farmlands, nutrition and agriculture. While she was definitely comfortable in Taurus, she will now move on to find her expression in the crucial aspect of life that is sharing information and rekindling connections. It may be a time to bring her topics back into light now, as we are all more open to giving some serious thought on changing the way we eat and on the sustainability of agriculture now in the western world. She will then move on to trine Mercury in Aquarius on the 16th, when this will double in significance.

Mercury re-enters Aquarius on the 14th

When Mercury re-enters Aquarius, we’ll come back into that lightning-fast mind-set, which will include our positive thoughts and an on-going ability to think outside of the box when this is crucial to our daily lives. During Mercury’s ingress into Aquarius, he will be trining Ceres, which will further boost the health of our mind planet. This is just another reason to look forward to the rest of February.

There’s a Full Moon in Leo on the 16th

The Full Moon on the 16th will exact at 28° Leo, so with the height of this month’s lunation happening over our social axis, this will likely increase our desire to connect with others and with groups of people even further. It looks like it’s going to be quite a social month, as far as months go. It’s worth taking into account that this Full Moon will neatly square the Moon’s nodal axis, creating just a little bit of tension that might keep us on our feet.

Jupiter sextile Uranus on the 18th

When Jupiter sextiles Uranus, these two planets will be in harmony. Both are similar in that they’re expansive yet while Jupiter ‘s the social one, Uranus is mostly generational. This is be a great time for reaching out to others for personal or business matters and will be an equally fortunate time to begin new creative courses or projects.

The Sun enters Pisces on the 18th

It will be officially Pisces season when the Sun enters the sign of the fishes on the 18th! The Sun will be disposed to Neptune and we will be entering a period of heightened awareness and compassion. This is also a time of adaptability, as we may feel more inclined to ‘go wherever the river takes us’.

Jupiter semi-square Pluto on the 23rd

Jupiter will semi-square Pluto on the 23rd of January, creating a mildly tense atmosphere for many of us. At the same time, Pluto will be trining the North Node, which will strengthen the God of the Underworld, so this may increase the chances that we will need to give off some steam at this time. Pluto in tensions with Jupiter can pertain to anger, higher stress levels or a strong desire to get right into the root of an old wound or problem.
