August is going to be a fabulous month, darlings. It’s Leo season so it is a time for us to wear our best outfits and show the rest of the world just how confident and bold we can be. It’s all about the Vogue, just the way Leo Madonna sang it back in the 1980’s.

This month we even start with a New Moon in Leo on the 8th of August, trailed by Mercury’s ingress into the following sign, Virgo on the 11th. Venus will then be all set to enter Libra on the 16th and then generational planet Uranus will turn retrograde in Taurus on the 20th. The Sun will then enter Libra on the 22nd, on the very same day as we see the Full Moon appear in Aquarius. We then end the month with Mercury’s ingress into Libra.

The New Moon at 16° Leo on the 8th of August

It will be a New Moon in Leo with Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius, so the social axis is highlighted once again. This time, however, there is likely to be an urge permeating society to think inventively, creatively and progressively. Therefore we may see some of peers in business or in our groups of friends throwing out some new and unusual ideas and works of art. Mercury will oppose Jupiter so there will likely be some huge ideas to explore.

Mercury Enters Virgo on the 11th of August

At this time, the way people communicate at work might slow down or become a little more relaxed, as we all begin to think in a much more critical and down-to-earth fashion. Newspaper articles may become more focussed on health and food and we may even see there are a greater amount of announcements on the Covid virus, it’s vaccine and the newest safety precautions we need to take. The great thing about Mercury in Virgo is we might expect less heated arguments and instead see in their place discussed disagreements with each person having a ‘for’ and ‘against’ list to present.

Venus Enters Libra on the 16th of August

This is wonderful, because Venus was in fall in Virgo and will now be moving into a sign he is in domicile in. There is likely to be a greater air of romance and fairness in relationships at this time, with maybe even more poetry being sent back and forth and a lot more wining and dining going on. Unfortunately though, it can be a little harder to make decisions when planets are in the sign of Libra, so we may find people are somewhat more unsure of themselves than before, especially in social situations, too.

Uranus turns Retrograde at 14° Taurus on the 20th of August

It’s the time if the Uranus retrograde and this means that some of the newest, most inventive ideas may not always go to plan at this time. Other things that may be affected are airway travel, as we can expect there to be more delays, environmental rights and personal freedoms. The issue of rights to peaceful protests may also re-appear, as this is very much in Uranus’ realm. Alternatively, we may find that some of our plans as a society may have to be re-considered, especially in the sectors of science, astrology and space travel.

The Sun Enters Virgo on the 22nd of August

When the Sun enters Virgo, we are likely to start focussing some more on our work and on strategic planning for the future. This is because the Sun represents our identities and when it moves into Virgo, we are likely to identify more strongly with all the things that Virgo signifies. Virgo signifies service and work. They have both the ability and desire to throw themselves into this as their contribution towards humanity. It is also very important to reach career goals because this keeps us grounded and headed in the right direction towards our plans to sustain ourselves and reach physical comfort.

The Full Moon at 29° Aquarius on the 22nd of August

The Full Moon will conjoin the Jupiter retrograde. Our values and beliefs may therefore become a greater focal point for us. With Mars conjoining Mercury in Virgo, we can expect plenty of discussions about these and how we are going to go forwards. The ideas we were filled with at the time of the New Moon on the 8th of August may make another appearance now, this time as an actual occurrence or project that has come to fruition. Therefore, for those for us who set the ball rolling back at the time of the New Moon or since then, we will now have the benefits of those and the rewards to reap.

Mercury Enters Libra on the 30th of August

When Mercury enters Libra, focus and communications may become more centred around fashion, social events and things like celebrity gossip. We may also find ourselves gossiping more about who’s wearing what or what the boy next door has been up to. Discussions may become much more fair, especially during disagreements as people may feel more inclined to think about everyone’s side of an argument before jumping to conclusions.
