The quarter Moon this month will be set to land on Tuesday the 7th of June and will be landing in the mutable sign of Virgo at 16°50’ of the sign. The first quarter Moon is really important for everyone because, as it represents the half-way point between the New Moon and the Full Moon, it also represents a period of tension and internal conflict. This tension and internal conflict often has a way of stirring up emotions within us that can set into motion towards change. For us this may be experienced as a powerful urge to make decisions that will create the shifts in our lives that are needed to move forwards with greater ease and security. With the Moon in mutable earth sign, Virgo, we may be pondering a lot about our everyday lives and how we can better organise them to combat stress and other difficulties. Our diets and health routines could also come under scrutiny as we think about ways we could improve the way we feel through exercise or eating foods that are better for us. With the Sun in mutable Gemini, how we relate to others becomes really important while we may find ourselves looking to our soft skills and our conversation styles for ways we can improve communications. The Virgo Moon will trine Uranus in Taurus The Virgo Moon’s trine to Uranus in Taurus will mean that, although we could be finding ourselves to be more highly critical of ourselves and others at the time of the quarter Moon, we may be able to carry this through from a perspective that is somewhat removed from the typical bias and judgement the yin signs are often quite capable of. A trine to Uranus suggests emotional coolness, an approach to the sensitive worlds of ourselves and others that is rational and logical and an original way of perceiving old problems as they resurface throughout the coming week. Whilst there are tensions suggested with the square between the Sun and the Moon, the Moon’s trine to Uranus suggests a point of resolution amidst this tension, as we may be able to see certain situations more clearly or from angles we hadn’t previously considered. Mercury will square Saturn in Retrograde With Mercury in a square aspect with Saturn in Aquarius, reflecting on our personal obligations towards the rest of the world is likely. We may be thinking about our role in the greater scheme of life on a global scale and how we can evolve with humanity whilst giving something back to the world. With Mercury at 26°46’ of Taurus and Saturn at 25°14’ of, this is such a close square aspect so will carry a lot of importance in terms of significations during the first quarter Moon. Taurus and Saturn are both closely related with earth and are focussed on the practical, mundane aspects of life. Although cerebral energy and communications might be slowed or quietened down due to the square, considerations towards what we can actually physically do now and in the future to help out is likely. Venus will Conjoin Uranus Venus will be heading towards a conjunction with Uranus and this may bring with it some unexpected moments in love. Perhaps things will happen during the week we didn’t foresee that could potentially add a little excitement to our romantic interactions or endeavours. With Venus in domicile in Taurus indicating meaningful social gatherings, perhaps these will take an interesting turn that is lit with opportunities for mental stimulation too. Social games that require mental agility are more likely as are long conversations with friends about science, technology and the occult. With both Venus and Uranus in Taurus, let’s not forget the increased chance that conversations could also turn to food, including new and unusual foods on the market that could be garnering more attention as of late. Dark Moon Lilith will Sextile the Moon and Uranus Lilith (or Black Moon Lilith) was Adam’s first wife and represents the earliest feminist. She brings up topics of sexual liberation and empowerment, as she was well-known in her intolerance towards playing Adam’s inferior in Hebrew mythology. The Moon will oppose Neptune the following Day On Wednesday the 8th of June, the Moon will then move into an opposition with Neptune in Pisces. The Moon will still be in Virgo as this occurs, at around 07:45 am in the UK (BST), therefore Wednesday morning could start off a little slower for us all, as we take some time to get in touch with our innermost subtle climates and deeper intuitions. These may be speaking out to us in several ways, such as in memories of more vivid dreams spilling over into our late morning that are begging for analysis or understanding. Another may be through a vague yet strong feeling that we’re forgetting something important coupled with a pull towards a certain piece of music and as we play the music, we see that the lyrics lead us towards an epiphany which helps us to more fully understand and assimilate something we’ve been trying to get to grips with these past few months.
