This month on the 16th of May we will have our second eclipse of the year, only this time in the opposite sign of Scorpio! This Full Moon total eclipse in Scorpio will be a time when some of the greatest changes of the year will happen for us. This powerful Full Moon that will be closely aligned with the Moon’s nodal axis can be a time when important energies are attracted into our lives and when other major phases come to a close. Right now we’re simultaneously releas-ing whilst allowing new things to enter into our worlds. Many are likely to find this eclipse difficult, with the tension from the Saturn square to the eclipse, the Mercury retrograde and Venus’ conjunction with Chiron. This means there is likely to be some resistance to many of the changes that lie ahead, but where we need to find more balance and a realistic outlook on life, the eclipse could sweep in to assist our movement in this direction. The Scorpio – Taurus Axis The Scorpio – Taurus axis is an axis that represents both strong boundaries that have been placed from a space of personal power and strength and an equally strong desire to possess all that we desire emotionally (Scorpio) and materially (Taurus). So, as we’re bringing things to a close at the time of this eclipse whilst allowing energies to enter into our lives, these things may typically be the things we’ve felt we either possessed for too long or would like to bring in-to possession. We may also be setting new boundaries we’ve consciously decided we need or breaking the ones that we feel are actually getting in the way of our enjoyment in life or pro-gression. The changes we make will ultimately allow us to sit deeper into our personal power upon finding ways we can see that our needs are met both emotionally and physically in ways that are hopefully both synchronous and harmonious. If we don’t take the steps towards this for ourselves, the eclipses can have a way of bringing such results for us in unexpected ways. The Mercury Retrograde Mercury’s retrograde motion at the time of the eclipse suggests difficulties in day-to-day life in the week before and after the eclipse. We may skip over important details and hence find we don’t understand things very well or we may have to review documents and conversations we dealt with in the past for mistakes or misunderstandings. Perhaps we looked at some situations in ways we now decide were not necessarily very clear and we now realise we need to change this in order to fit new information that comes to light during the retrograde. Really though, this can add an extra level of difficulty to the Full Moon period for us, so it’s a good idea to take some extra care in mindfulness of this energy here from Mercury’s retrograde. Saturn will Square the Full Moon Saturn’s square to the Full Moon eclipse in Scorpio on Monday could mean there are other dif-ficulties to endure, as the double square signature might bring forth the less favourable mani-festations of Saturn, such as restrictions, extra things to do and take care of with seemingly lit-tle reward and structures imposed which we may not fully understand or feel aligned with. With the Taurus – Scorpio axis being so strongly activated, this could come to us in the form of new boundaries that we’re not fully happy with or things being taken from our possession when we’d rather there weren’t. Otherwise, with Saturn at the crux of the T-Square with the eclipse, we may take such things into our own hands as looming responsibilities we feel we can’t overlook at this time, whether we’d like to or not. Neptune is Still Powerfully Attuned When looking a little more analytically at the eclipse chart, we can see that Neptune would be a sole dispositor of the whole chart, if Mercury wasn’t taken into account. There is also Nep-tune’s trine to the Moon in Scorpio and conjunction with Mars in Pisces. Therefore, despite these tense and difficult energies taking place at the time of the eclipse, Neptune’s beautiful soft cloud of compassion and spiritual awareness is still strong and may just be the universe’s metaphoric way of reaching out a hand to catch us if we so need it when we fall. Neptune also ensures that when we take action, we do it for the right reasons, especially with flowing aspects such as the trine and the sextile. Venus will Conjoin Chiron Venus’ conjunction with Chiron means that, while there are potentially deep wounds being un-covered in matters of love and possessions there is also a potential to heal these wounds. How this signature plays out for each of us will depend on its role in our lives and how the oppor-tunity for healing is lit under the debris of the other difficult aspects at this time. This can also depend on the signature of Chiron and Venus that is already apparent in the natal chart of each person in question. Healing can also come through simple expression and experience with Venus and Chiron in Aries. For a detailed astrology reading, visit Esotelcard.com |
