December’s Full Moon will land in Gemini on the 19th of December at 4:36 am UT. Now life is re-gaining some more balance and normality for most of us after moving on from the intense lu-nar eclipse that occurred at this same time last month. Also, it was only two weeks ago that we had the total solar eclipse in Sagittarius and this marked the start of a fresh new phase for us, yet back then Mars was still in Scorpio, getting ready to cross the South Node at 1°44’ Sagittari-us. We’ve definitely had some trying times and a few set-backs relating to Saturn over the past month too, but now it’s time for some major improvements.

During the Full Moon we won’t observe any retrograde planets, although the nodal axis and Chiron are still retrograde (the nodes of the Moon are nearly always in retrograde motion). This means that even if there are set-backs during the holiday season, life should still keep on mov-ing ahead at a reasonable pace, especially regarding our general direction as it relates to our core emotional needs. This will be especially true with the heavy dose of Sagittarius and Gemini and with such a strong Jupiter placement during this Full Moon.

The Gemini - Sagittarius Axis

The Gemini – Sagittarius axis is the axis of learning and communication. With Gemini we have the desire to accumulate important information and share this with our peers. With Sagittarius we have the desire to learn through dialogue and experiences, while accumulate wisdom to understand our world from different perspectives. Both signs require forming connections, so it’s no surprise if we find ourselves over the Christmas period with a strong desire to touch base with old friends and acquaintances. Even the shyest or meekest of us may perhaps desire some variety now, with some social and experiential stimulation.

The Full Moon will Trine Jupiter

The Moon will be in a partile trine to Jupiter, meaning the influence the two planets hold over one another is very significant, astrologically speaking. The trine aspect is a positive and smoothly-flowing one and with this between Jupiter and the Moon, we may be well in touch with our emotions at this time, with a general feeling of happiness and flowing energy. This is a great aspect for relationships, with Jupiter also in a sextile aspect with the Sun. Jupiter is in Aquarius, so many people will be feeling accepting and open-minded, so this may be a holiday to look forward to!

Jupiter will square the Nodal Axis

Jupiter will be playing multiple roles as well as bringing in disposition from the Sun. Mars, the South Node and Vesta at the time of the Full Moon this month. This therefore means he is ex-tra significant at this time and the Full Moon will be super-powered with his presence and abundance. That being said, there is a separate interpretation for each Jupiter aspect and his square to the nodal axis is in fact one of tensions. This is likely nothing to worry about as Jupi-ter is such a beneficial planet, but he is also a planet of abundance and sometimes excesses. This aspect can indicate that there might be some differences in opinions and values expressed between those of us who are on a similar journey over the Christmas period. Jupiter will pro-vide an outlet for us to bring out our differences, but because he is all about growth and ex-pansion, we may look at one another’s views with an open mind and ultimately, this will lead to progressive spiritual wisdom amongst us.

Saturn will Square Uranus

Saturn will move in to Square Uranus exactly just 5 days after this Full Moon on the 19th, there-fore this aspect will be applying and increasing in importance and intensity at the time of the lunation. There may be some tensions between governmental institutions and freedom of speech and truth in general terms, as we wait to see what is going to come to light nest regard-ing the new variant of COVID (Omicron) and our personal freedoms. Having said this, with Jupi-ter forming such a positive aspect with the Moon, which is the denoter of the people in Mun-dane/ political astrology, this likely won’t threaten the general sense of well-being for most of us. Saturn square Uranus on the other hand, could well manifest as a desire to find balance and peace between that part of ourselves that wants to follow rules and retain the structure and the part of ourselves that desires freedom, truthfulness and authenticity.

The Full Moon will Trine Hygeia

The trine between the Moon and Hygeia will complete a grand air trine between the Moon, Ju-piter and Hygeia. This means that there will also be a kite formation in which the Sun in Sagit-tarius is at the apex point, even further increasing Jupiter’s potency and participation in the overall energy at this time. The Sun rules Leo, who loves to relax, have fun and perhaps even experiment with creative images, so make sure you enjoy what this Full Moon has to offer.
