INTRODUCTION TO THE READING OF THE DOMINANT ELEMENT
The Four Zodiac Elements - Fire, Earth, Air and Water - reveal the pet’s type of socio-psycho-ethological inclination: the character, the predisposition to specific learning tasks, the sensitivity, the relationships with other living beings.
If you do not have the time of birth, it is possible to calculate a basic birth chart without domification,
outlining specific and eloquent traits and characteristics and identifying the dominant zodiac element in the general picture (prevalence in its Birth Chart of Fire, Earth, Air or Water values), that is to define which type of energy the an ...

Here PET WITH EARTH DOMINANT ELEMENT (connected to Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn values)
The Earth dominant Element is slow, measured and calm: those with this dominant are firm as the element that represents them, but only on the surface (earth generates life, in the form of nourishment). Vital energy is expressed in these animals in the form of strong temperament, caution, reliability, predictability, stamina/determination. Putting down roots in the surrounding environment is essential, just like the soil that provides the nourishment to survive. Their nature is simple and practical, connected to physical well-being (food, sleep, pleasure, space, objects, comfort - food/sex as motivation), the ideal family (mixed social group) is where they can interact and achieve "resources" related to the satisfaction of pleasure, showing a great ability to reassure and interact with the people of the social group. They have a "possessive" nature (and can be particularly lazy, static, stubborn). Training paths can be opposite to the creative-energetic Fire Dominant Element or Air speed-dynamism in favour of routine.
For this dominant, a calm and measured approach does not represent a source of boredom or poor stimulation, on the contrary, it gives the pet peace and quiet (and therefore well-being and security in the reference environment). An excess of the Earth Element in the natal chart can indicate, for example in dogs, a strong need for security and stability, attachment to its reference environment, strong temper and determination, marked possessiveness and aggressiveness if they happen to be too stressed or provoked in the defence of their territory.
PET WITH FIRE DOMINANT ELEMENT (connected to Aries, Leo and Sagittarius values)
Since the dawn of time, fire has been hot, irresistible, attractive, exactly as it was when man discovered it for the first time. Imagination gets lost in the contemplation of its intensity, strength and colours: it is undeniable that fire is perhaps the most exciting (and excitable) element among the four. Just like the visceral and primordial energy it conveys, so animals with this dominant may generally appear spontaneous, impulsive, always ready to react according to instinct. Their life energy is action, dynamism, warmth, physical contact, a pronounced sense of dominance and territorial behaviour. They are "radiant", generous, enthusiastic subjects that can wear out a calm and placid human, yet filling their everyday life with vitality, selflessness, exaltation and joy.
For the Fire Element, relationships develop in the excitement of reproduction, in the fascination of the original hunting instinct, with a burning desire to possess or reach objects and people. Fire intelligence can go anywhere without restrictions: these animals are always ready to amaze and amuse unconsciously and to embark on dangerous adventures with no hesitation. These pets generally get along well with humans and animals with Air Dominant (dynamic, daring and enthusiastic like them): beware, however, of energy burnout, which could exhaust the resources and create wearing situations due to excessive excitement/movement. From Water Dominant, Fire Dominant can absorb and learn the warmth of tenderness, while it finds it harder to reconcile with Earth Dominant, its energetic opposite, which is often perceived as too static and restricting, but from which animals can learn - not without some effort - the patience needed to control their instinctive excitement and make it a productive and fruitful force. An abundance of Fire Element in the natal chart may cause, for example in dogs, displays of dominance behaviour (social higher rank and aggressiveness), impatience, with a significant risk of psychophysical stress. The limit could therefore become resistance in the long run, easily compromised by weariness. For this reason, it is necessary to pay attention to the signals of "haywire", out of control, confusion and anxiety: it is important to give these animals balance, to channel their skills, to dampen the haste by promoting calm and slow actions.
INTRODUCTION TO THE READING OF THE EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENT MODEL The role of the Moon in the pet’s types of attachment (emotional bond) and relational development
The Moon in the pet's birth chart represents: the inner self (how the living being was nurtured and taken care of, what the puppy’s early stage of life was like, if it was influenced by conflicting, independent, adventurous relationships, etc.), the pet’s level of trust towards others (which emotional imprinting is applied in the emotional relationships with its caregivers, conspecifics, etc.) and its fears/vulnerability in relationships.

Here AMBIVALENT ATTACHMENT
The pet shows discomfort when separated from its human owner, with aggressive behaviour, but when they meet again, it shows resistance or a passive reaction (a desire for presence but also rejection). Hard Moon/Uranus aspects indicate the struggle between two tendencies (the desire to detach oneself from the "parent", acting through one's Mars in Mercury’s mode, but experiencing a sense of inappropriate intrusion by the human): these aspects can be managed by supporting both the pet’s freedom and intimacy, in order to balance the two tendencies that can end up coexisting in a complementary way. Difficult aspects between Mars and the Moon indicate a contradiction between the desire for tranquillity and the push for the opposite, perceiving the human parent as unstable/restless and able to abandon the subject suddenly (security becomes precarious). In this section of aspects, the displays of “anxiety” (in dogs, for example) are significant. For the anxious type of dog, the Moon/Uranus aspects are of particular importance: specifically, Liz Greene refers to early episodes of stress or bad management when the dog is introduced to a new environment and in socialisation, because of which the security of the animal would be expressed not in a Lunar mode but in the “Uranian” mode of re-action and hyperactivity, stereotypies or substitute activities (compulsive behaviours that indicate forms of chronic stress in the pet).
INTRODUCTION TO THE READING OF MERCURY IN THE BIRTH CHART The role of Mercury in the Pet's birth chart
Mercury in the natal chart represents the functions of the pet's intelligence: the mental dynamics of its
relationships (especially with "human" parents),
the upbringing (as a development tool through communication),
the training (teaching new skills and specific practical tasks) and
play , as a means of learning between members of the same species (intraspecific ) or of different species, such as humans (interspecific).
Adaptation to family life, therefore, represents ...

INTRODUCTION TO THE READING OF MARS AS THE LEVEL OF ENERGY AND AGGRESSIVENESS
Mars in the animal natal chart, analysed along with the characteristics of species and race, represents:
- vital energy, the impulse to take action meant as
level of aggressiveness (literally "going towards"): in its positive meaning, the essential component for the preservation of every living being as the species’ inborn instinct to survive in the surrounding environment. If the level of aggressiveness is badly handled by humans, primarily with communication mistakes between different species, it can lead to possible behaviour issues in the pet, increasing the intensity of i ...

Aggressiveness level 1 (highest level): DOMINANCE
The pet shows great vital energy that is expressed with an attitude of imposition, command and control of the surrounding territory, which must satisfy its needs, and of dominance of the subjects it interacts with. This inclination is certainly a good indicator of the surviving and leadership skills (pack leader) possessed by the most resourceful subjects, which are more suitable to adapt to the environment and preserve the species according to scientific theories. However, if this powerful energy is channelled in the wrong way, it overflows, get restless at times (Mars/Sun challenging aspects) and pushes to attack or impose itself on the other with bullying-violence. This exposure can also cause the animal to suffer harm, sometimes unconsciously seeking it, or failing to implement the precautions aimed at avoiding external attacks.
The aggressiveness trigger is represented by Mercury (conjunct Mars), which acts as a "shock" causing restlessness, hyper reactivity, confrontational behaviour and desire to fight with cunning, smart ways. Challenging Mars/Jupiter aspects as well show an impulsive impetus towards restrained anger that leads to impose oneself on others, with a constant tension that compensates for the basic insecurity of feeling threatened with the pleasure of the fight: whoever attacks first has the advantage. With Mars/Jupiter conjunction, the pet looks for physical fight, since it needs to use its aggressiveness defying dangers without fear, exposing itself, however, to risks.
The sphere of emotions, which is the focus of the dynamics of the Moon/Mars aspects, is critical (in the conjunction, action and emotions collide in susceptibility, mood swings, overreactions and underestimation of risk): discomfort is constant fear, held back or disguised as attack, if Mars has challenging aspects with Venus, thus raising the level of sensitivity in contrasting forms of reactions (love-hate) and exposing the pet to chronic stress.
With disharmonious Mars-Uranus aspects, the pet shows constant restlessness and continuous mood swings that make the relationships challenging, with an alternation of forms of attachment and rejection, to such an extent that finding outlets in this dynamism becomes the only (dangerous) sedative to rebalance and control excess energies.
When the pet's reaction becomes aggressive in a cruel and cold way, the disharmonious Mars-Saturn aspects come into play and affect the relationship, where the subject lashes out in a brutal, fiery, stubborn way (as happens when the attacks suffered are underestimated), showing physical resistance and a possible tendency to isolate itself. Here the animal is cautious, but not fearful, if necessary it gets aggressive because frustration brings out primordial energies of violent rebellion for survival. Dominant disharmonious Mars – Pluto aspects are just similarly deep and rooted (Pluto triggers reactions related to the preservation of the species and unconscious impulses): Mars and Pluto in the birth chart trigger aggressiveness and sexuality, accompanied by marked strength and stamina, in dynamics where restrained frustration and inner resources come out all of a sudden under harsh or violent circumstances. This dynamic is also enhanced by the challenging Sun-Pluto aspects and conjunction, which increase the pet’s self-confident and dominant behaviour as an inner impulse to release the rebellion/restlessness/ unconscious insecurity: the need to excel, as an impulsive compensation mechanism (I am/I command: Pluto in its meaning of unconscious forces and primordial instincts).
INTRODUCTION TO THE READING OF PLANETARY DOMINANTS Knowing the pet’s dominant - that is the planetary typology with which the pet is more in tune - means to understand why some physical, mental and relational traits characterise it to the point of becoming a sort of identity card through which the pet interact with the outside world. However, let’s not forget that pure dominants are very rare: each animal is always the result of all the energies of its birth chart and the same subject is generally affected by the influence of two or more planets, although with a different impact. For this reason, the dominant must constantly be analysed along with a co-dom ...

HereDominante : Uraniana
Co-dominante :
SaturninaSotto-dominante :
NettunianaURANIAN DOMINANTThe Uranian Typology expresses originality, independence, magnetism and an “electric” character (physical and intellectual movement as emission of impulsive energy). They can appear to have nonconformist behaviours/attitudes with respect to the species/breed they belong to (compatibly with ethological factors): the subject is sometimes quite unpredictable with respect to standards.
When Uranus is applied to nature and animals, it represents intuition as the evolution of the species (in the symbolism of renewal): survival in this Typology is possible thanks to a smart brain that adjust to the surrounding environment. Over time, nature "selects", that is, it chooses the subjects who can perform the most suitable behaviour in a certain situation, making it possible to carry on the genetics that match that stimulus with the successful behaviour (K. Lorenz).
Uranus, in its meaning of future, determines a pet that is always excitedly looking forward to the next experience, therefore suitable for training (with the right motivation) and successful learning.
Since the planet Uranus rules groups, the pet belonging to this typology has a character that fits well within packs, colonies, etc. (always following the social rules that are typical of their species), supporting the function of social facilitation (starting certain behaviours, hunting or protection for example, triggering actions that are imitated and performed by other individuals in the group), while maintaining its emancipation, since freedom is fundamental for the Uranian pet. The relationship between humans and Uranian dogs tends to nurture collaboration, since the pet is naturally inclined to interact with and accept other species and rules, as long as its independence is respected and the human leadership is authoritative but non-authoritarian: punishment for Uranus is, however, hardly felt, and the pet tries to elude that (through avoidance and escape), whenever it’s possible.
Uranus as an archetype of independence can show itself in dogs of primitive breeds, which reflect the ancestral imprint that detaches itself the most from man (when animals were considered trade goods and not life companions), underlining a constant need for movement; compared to them, the Uranian pet is less predatory and more trainable. For other breeds (such as Chow Chow, Saint Bernard, Dachshund, Beagle and Golden Retriever) independence is being able to adapt to various/different lifestyles.
According to Roberto Marchesini (Dog Pedagogy) the motivation, that is the interests (tendencies to perform certain behaviours instead of others, to choose objects and activities as gratifying preferences), is supposed to make the Uranian dog orient itself towards exploration (exploring an environment and mapping it as well as analysing objects in detail), research and kinesthesia (moving around, running, jumping), collaboration (doing an activity with a partner or group activity), affiliation (being part of a small group), social aspects (achieving a position within the group) and communication (expressing a condition or indicating something).
The typology of Uranian animal can present various aspects: Aquarius values enhance the detachment from immobility (the Solar opposite) with strongly independent attitudes and a strong need for movement and dynamism; Capricorn values restrain the flexibility and dynamism of the energy, strengthening the pet's stubbornness; Virgo values promotes the pet's stamina and learning skills.
Parts of the body to pay attention to: circulatory and lymphatic system, nerves, brain (nervousness, insomnia, emotional/sexual instability).
Meanings associated with Uranus in the animal world: independence, survival, evolution of the species, pack (or social group).
The myth : according to Greek mythology, Uranus (Father Sky) is the primordial force that originates life in creation together with Gaea (Mother Earth): Uranus applied to the animal/natural universe represents the "new" (first husband, lover and child) as a generation of the species and its collective evolution. Uranus is also connected to Prometheus, the Titan who challenges Zeus by stealing fire from the gods to give it to humanity, which is metaphorically the intuition that saves the pack thanks to the cooperation of individuals fighting together against external agents that undermine their survival.
THE URANIAN IN RELATIONSHIPSThe independence of the Uranian animal could correspond to non-involvement in relationships, since the pet tends to show coldness or poor empathy (archetype of detachment): the tendency does not coincide with disinterest, but rather to its being opposite by nature to the Solar values of all-absorbing emphasis and enthusiasm. The key to strengthening the bond is leading to emotional involvement/pleasure: in dogs, for example, fun exercises, based on playing and positive reinforcements (food, leisure activities) are ideal, and capable of giving excellent results and creating collaborative and empathetic relationships, where the Uranian pet also feels free and dynamic, as it is by nature.
Sociability in the Uranian pet is hardly aggressive/domineering, since the animal is by nature independent/not involved in a "passionate" way, therefore combative behaviours do not usually belong to the Typology, for example in dogs (staring, hair raised, growling, exposed teeth, chasing, biting/fighting), except in extreme situations where it is forced to defend itself or respond.
The Moon, an archetype that is different from Uranus and connected to the animal's sense of security and emotional attachment - the emotional imprinting that makes it feel at ease as a puppy and that influences the subsequent attachment pattern towards others and reference humans - generates in the pet the need for a relationship that on one hand offers security and stability, but that on the other hand lets it be free: in order to have balanced relationships, it is necessary to accept both aspects as needs of the pet that should not be denied, otherwise hostility towards the environment and emotional instability may arise in the animal (fear, avoidance, inhibition, escape, hierarchical conflicts, phobias, anxiety, obsessions and compulsions).
Dogs with Uranian predisposition show a strong but not domineering character, which is why the assertive behaviour can be typical of this Typology: tail held upright, tail wagging with high tail, erect posture, pricked ears, its paw/muzzle placed on the back of a conspecific, nibbling on the other’s muzzle are all signs that will express self-confidence, desire to affirm one's presence and the control of the territory, but not necessarily competitiveness.
When the Uranian dog gets emotionally involved in the situation, it can indulge in behaviours of deference (avoiding eye contact, like puppies, lowering their head and ears) and submission (tail between the legs, lying down on their stomach, showing their belly, licking another dog’s muzzle) as friendly, non-conflictual gestures, to promote a climate of loving and playful collaboration (which should be always evaluated also according to the breed).
Turid Rugaas’ calming signals (which are used by dogs to convey pacifying messages and avoid any fight) are important for the communication and in the interactions/gestures of Uranian dogs, whose nature allows them to integrate well into groups and act as a "friend" or facilitator: looking away, blinking, squinting, turning head or entire body aside, freezing in place, sniffing the ground, stretching, sitting/lying down, licking nose, yawning, lifting one paw, approaching laterally in an arc.
In the feline personality types, the Uranian cat appears to be inclined to impulsiveness (fearless and energetic-impulsive cats), extroversion (driven by curiosity and the tendency to get bored quickly without stimuli), agreeableness (character key of balanced, affectionate, friendly and gentle cats, also the result of general balance in the natal chart). Less frequently (unless there are challenging aspects in the natal chart), thanks to their ability to detach and be independent, we have cats with neuroticism (which are sensitive, insecure, anxious, suspicious or frightened) and dominance (confident cats which can become overly aggressive and domineering towards their conspecifics).
According to the feline typologies created by Lauren Finka, the Uranian cat reflects the "human" cat (happy to share home and personal space), the "hunter" cat (wild and with predatory attitudes in playful activities) and "inquisitive" cat (interested in sniffing and curious towards all stimuli), but to a lesser degree the cantankerous cat (which is not so inclined to be touched, even though, being independent, it can refuse contact).
Among the character traits of dogs, the Uranian Typology expresses liveliness (the pet shows interest and stimulation towards the objects that are brought to its attention, keeping good focus and performance), sociability (ability to integrate into human society and to interact), curiosity (ability to show interest in and explore the outside world, a skill that helps in training sessions of detection and defence), courage (ability to face danger promptly, which is here favoured by the predisposition to emotional detachment), docility (the animal’s ability to respect authority by accepting and positively responding to commands, which is also the result of a good human-animal relationship), fortitude (physical/psychological ability to put up with unpleasant external stimuli and positive reaction/adaptability to more negative situations, controlling irritability), stamina (ability to endure physical and psychological efforts over time, without showing signs of fatigue, which can, however, often affect the Uranian pets without them expressing any intolerance) and temperament (responsiveness to external stimuli, liveliness and hyperactivity). More rarely, the Uranian dog tends to show, due to its inborn detachment, possessiveness (inclination to defend the "ownership" of an object or person, suitable for benefit/defence) and alertness (ability to sense danger at a more or less close distance).
The Uranian dog reflects, and turns into successful solutions, all Stanley Coren's dog intelligence types: instinctive (what a dog can do from birth thanks to its "instincts"), adaptive (what a dog learns to do by itself through experience), functional (what the animal learns from humans through training/learning) and spatial intelligence (ability to orient itself in the environment).
THE URANIAN AND THE OTHER PLANETARY DOMINANT TYPES With the
Solar , its opposite pole, friction is generated: the excessive quickness, the energetic action at all costs by Uranus put pressure on the Solar, which re-acts by imposing itself, pushing the Uranian away. Poor understanding with the
Lunar : excessive calm, sensitivity and slow pace are not understood by Uranus. With the
Martian there is an excellent combination of quickness, pragmatism, immediate and instinctive re-action, but be careful not to overload these aspects and fuel aggressiveness due to an excess of energies that are badly channelled. Interesting understanding with the
Mercurian : mental stimulation, dynamism, changes, which should be channelled to moderate excessive instability/restlessness. With the
Saturnian there is good understanding, since its focused and determined character, with moderate impulsiveness and enhanced static and durable skills, if well channelled with the Uranian qualities, can guarantee enduring collaborations. A positive relationship with the
Neptunian , where, however, the desire for play, change and movement becomes more hectic in the Uranian. The
Venusian is connected to the sense of pleasure and well-being just like the Uranian, although differently: the Venusian prefers to idle about, but if interesting playing is involved, collaboration is guaranteed and curiosity stirred. With the
Jupiterian , excellent environment explorations and playing: the “doing” is the focus of the relationship (pay attention to not overdo it). The relationship with the
Plutonian strong is pragmatic: practicality is key, in collaboration as well as in relationships and playing.
