Venus and Pluto

While Neptune raises love to sublimation and transcendence, it spiritualises it and makes it able to perceive a sense of fusion with the universe, Pluto instead drags Venus into the most profound and dark meanders of the unconscious. It is a descent into hell that will pass through the most intense emotions, even if their preferential colouring will be black - grey. It is a journey into power.
Therefore Pluto will try to show the darkest and even sick parts between two individuals through a loving relationship: Pluto love therefore lives on intense drama since it will show absolutely unknown features of the psyche of a person without the same even knowing about it.
Here love at times becomes attached to the death drive. Think of how many crimes are committed in the name of love: those who have a Venus - Pluto in their chart have, at least once, and especially in occasion of treason, considered being able to kill … Pluto eliminates the ethical side of Venus completely, makes her ambiguous, ambivalent; often Venus sharing becomes dark, turbid “complicity“, and this sense allows the goddess of Love to show a side that is unconventional and bad, seductive and highly manipulative, otherwise unknown.
In this aspect, through the love energy manages to live completely in its own darkness: here, the individual reveals love to himself, but reveals it completely, without masks, without falsehoods, morals, entirely, with its civil part and its "primitive" and "ego" part, full of distorted power. This means that Pluto allows the interception of the destructive element, showing the most ambiguous and inferior features of power, and they are easily deceitful and delinquent for love.
Then, while the Neptune path allows the loss of the I to cross a cosmic union with a divine one, Pluto allows another path to knowledge through love: but it is one of the pain, of the pathos and at times of Tanathos. In any case love seen through the eyes of Pluto is a kind of catharsis, something that must bring us into contact with our essence and our creative potential, as well as with our power. Through Pluto love, which is the most stressed and disorganised that will come our way, we can discover what our potential is and which possibilities we have of controlling our life and, above all, what power we manage to exert through our instinctive and emotional dynamics. Only after this passage can we join a real condition of independence, in which the other really comes away from us and becomes an interlocutor and a companion. And it is therefore Pluto that drags us into territories where the licit the illicit one are neighbouring and cross the frontier: to allow to see how long we are masters of us ourselves, how long we are able to choose or we have still issues derived from our drives.
In this love passage each one meets the indefiniteness and the ambiguity of other, but behind it all it glimpses the dark side of our soul. The love wraps itself up in mystery and fascination, two positive characteristics that make it irresistible but that also show its danger, why they invite us to go over the visible aspects and often the illicit ones, in search of gratification that is an atavistic loving hunger we hopes to be able to calm down.
This love can pass through the sensation of being "bewitched", and in this each one can try the power of the seduction that leads the subject into a dimension where one faces the power of another person, and in this encounter - disagreements the I and the mind sway and one enters into a state of great imbalance in which the forces of reason are face to face with unconscious drives.
But there will be a particular mixed state of passion, suffering and fear that will lead us to transformation. In fact, the Venus - Pluto meaning is specifically this: the transformation of will through the loving dimension passing through an uncontrollable wish that leads to it into contact with our true ability - incapacity of controlling our inner world. Pluto love breaks down the limits that I has set, breaks down the patterns of the mind and morals and leads it into absolutely new territory in which it really feels the loss; it passes through chaos, inner disorder, power and manipulation, the need to obtain and possess what will not come to us if it is never allowed to, because it is not right to claim it, and everything this one will lead to will mature, understand ourselves more and not to take any values that we deceive for granted, of having done what we wanted and that will instead be challenged more openly with this aspect.
Here love is a challenge, a provocation, an outrage, the torment of the soul that is played on the thread of the presence - absence of our loved one, which in a pursuit - escape dimension leads to before the transformation. With Pluto love teaches us that only if we accept loss and death will we be able to accept and to love life. If we accept the challenge, it will lead to a true relationship ability which Venus only skims in the archetypal encounters with the others gods; here, the possibility of love is based on the ability of accepting the renunciation of the totality of a relationship since this love must know separation and the realistic recognition of individuality and of the difference, of the fact that other lives not only for us and that above all we do not have any right to exercising power over the other.
Pluto love begins with an insatiable symbiosis but it will expel us from it in an unequivocal way and mainly will not let us enter: this love forces us to accept our state of loneliness and the condition our own completeness can arrive at. It is during this I torment that we feel our smallness, the sense of loss of power, the gap, and wait for our drug, our poison that seems to appease the need, but only if we will reach deep into to this terrible territory, facing all our fears and healing our wounds, will we be able to find our psychic integrity, that one that will allow us to re-emerge and to grow again like unity and no longer only as one half.
Therefore, here love taints us with many other negative emotional aspects: hate, grudges, anger, possession, submission and domination … because it is through the physical-psychic and emotional dimension that Pluto love allows the return of things we have lost and brings back us to the right - duty of facing our internal images. All this makes love enchanting love and terrifying at the same time. There is a kind of charm in which one remains hanging and it is not known if everything will be destroyed or the necessary passage of “knowledge“ for the transformation will happen.
This is the shortest journey in the world of love with all its potential. Each time that we express love, we are forced to put into being an archetypal dimension of ourselves, which tells us something that must be seen, included and integrated into our personality.
In this sense love is always knowledge and at the same time it is a life, because the best part of our life is determined by awareness.
